I agree with you, they have a very bad reputation. Their baggage handling is pathetic sometimes they even take your carry as you are boarding the air plain and steal your belongings. It is not a surprise that they destroyed your suitcase. People that work in aeromexico ara arrogant and feel very powerful at the airport. Sorry, I went through the same experiences. They stole several things in my baggage.

Muchas gracias! En mi experiencia, a la vuelta sí había muy poca gente, pero cuando llegamos estuvimos una hora haciendo fila en migraciones. Cosas que pasan!

En primer lugar, no era vieja. Y en segundo lugar, por más que lo fuera, una vez que uno despacha su equipaje, el mismo pasa a ser responsabilidad de la aerolínea. Esa valija fue despachada en perfecto estado y llegó destrozada. Por lo tanto, es 100% culpa de la aerolínea. La valija estaba bajo su responsabilidad.

It depends on where you are coming from. You only have to do so if you are arriving on an international flight, as far as I’m concerned. In any case, it takes no time at all to re-drop them off; it’s just a minute.

Gracias por el video. Consulta, porque pronto hago una combinación similar saliendo 6.50 de Cancun, llegando 8.20 al DF y luego sale para Buenos Aires 9.15. Es posible llegar? Cuando saque el pasaje el horario era otro y me lo cambiaron ya dos veces.

Si va todo en horario, es posible. Saliendo tan temprano a la mañana, uno esperaría que no hayan demoras, pero nunca se sabe. Por eso siempre es mejor, en caso de ser posible, tener un poco más de margen.

@@flyingaroundtheworldytb esperemos que si. Había sacado el vuelo nocturno de 23hs, luego Aeroméxico me lo paso primero para las 6 y ahora a las 6.50. Voy a hacer un reclamo para ver si existe la posibilidad de salir en alguno más temprano para no tener que andar jugando con la suerte

Intenta solucionarlo por teléfono. Si no, en última instancia, si llegas temprano al aeropuerto de Cancún por ahí te puedan hacer el cambio ahí mismo, siempre y cuando haya lugar.

Quick question . I have a domestic connection flight , in mexico with aero Mexico . Do I need to collect my luggage when arriving at the first stop or do I just go directly to my connecting flight ?

I don’t know where you are arriving from. If you arrive from abroad, you’ll have to clear immigration and customs. If you arrive from elsewhere in Mexico, you just walk to your gate. In neither of the cases you have to collect your luggage. If the itinerary is with the same airline, they’ll drop it off to your final destination.

Try to have enough time between flights, I would say 2 hrs at least to be safe, when the Cdmx Airport is busy, workers move very slow at the check point

Me alegra que te haya sido útil el video! En cuanto a los asientos, si bien el espacio era relativamente bueno, si queres asegurarte de viajar lo más cómodo posible vas a tener que pagar extra por un asiento en primera fila o salida de emergencia, siempre hablando de Clase Turista. Ahí ya depende de cada uno evaluar si vale o no la pena!

Porfavor, digan su altura cuando se refieran al “buen espacio entre sillas”. Eso es muy relativo y si no sabemos la altura de la persona, no sirve de mucho poner la mano y decir que hay buen espacio. Gracias por el video.

Mido 1.80m, altura más o menos promedio. En eso me baso para decir que el espacio entre asientos es bueno. De todos modos, suelo poner mi altura en los videos, pero se ve que me olvidé en este.

I’ve traveled with airlines that gives you nothing more than water for the same price as Aeromexico. Not saying they’re the best airline, but I definitely had a very good experience with them.

It actually depends on where your inbound flight arrives and where the outbound flight departs from. Therefore, there’s a chance you might transfer through Terminal E. Anyway, all the concourses are connected.

Not a good first impression I guess, with that cancelled flight. At least the flight to Oakland was only 1 hour after your flight and that $200 voucher has made it up. Nice trip report.
