Great video, but If I may : I think you didnt really expand on WHY a gold standard is used (pros and cons) and WHY countries shifted away. I'd would have been good to also note that its not necessarily have to be "gold" as a standard: its just needs to be "something" that is rare, cannot be produced easily and cannot be destroyed easily. We could have been on the "diamond standard" and it would be the same. Stuff like that. A "material standard" vs a "fiat standard" is an important discussion.

When a government starts spending on projects it helps keep people in work but our wages don't increase so we are just in a rat race. The people benefiting in a company doing a government project are the top 5 position in that company,they get massive bounces. The "Trickle down" effect the government wants business to do never happens. So it is better to cut taxes then over spend on government projects.

Dollars are created by the promise to pay, there are few dollars to purchase goods and services.

Money is created by lending. Paper money is based on a promise to pay. I. E. a loan. Every dollar lent is a dollar created. When loans are not repaid, money disappears. Too few dollars cause less capital to be available for businesses, causing less production causing more loan defaults, causing money to be destroyed. Causing prices to go down, because no one has money to buy.
