ive been flipping the negative signs to positive and as long as all the signs are the same it seems to work so if they are all negative and u flip them all to positive according to this quadratic calculator its always the same answer edit u can change the sign of the middle number and the only difference at the end is if the number is negative or positive it looks like from my limited testing

Huh? How does sqrt of -4 divided by -4 equal i? It doesnt make sense cuz sqrt 4 divided by 4 is equal to 0.5. Besides, the sqrt of -4 is equal to 2i, and if we were to divide 2i with -4 we’d get -0,5i. So the real answer would be -2 plus or minus -0.5i

If one of the variables was a yes/no score, how would you include that into the total rank?

So nicely explained however why do we bootstrap same sample everytime to assume fake population ,why not different random samples of 40

If you have a calculator and trying to figure out intercept and stuff press stat then input the numbers for x and y then stat again slide over to calc and press 4 for linReg then calculate and that will give you your slope and y intercept

Much clearer than other explanations I've seen. However, "Having said that, an XX% confidence level does not mean that for a given realized interval there is an XX% probability that the population parameter lies within the interval!"

Hey Mr. ...!! I recommend another tactic that we can use instead. And that is,to find the percent of our total sample which is 40 out of the total population which is 580, i.e;40/580×100 that results to 20% {0.2}. Then, because our aim is to balance our sample with available finite population (580), we'll be multiplying by 0.2 throughout the four grades (i.e; 120×0.2=8,150×0.2=10,130×0.2=10 and 180×0.2=12. And when we sum up these constants, they'll give us 40 (that is the total subset we're interested to study)). That is what I know Sir. ....!!
