The grille was not re-chromed. Learn how to shut an MGB hood NEVER in the center. Sounds like a steel not an original aluminum hood. The MG octagon emblem is missing form the drunk. The canvas top is NOT 10 times higher than the price of vinyl. The dash top is a mess. Leather seat covers are under a grand. "it has disc brakes" yes, on the front only.

I know this video is 14 years old and this car is long gone, but for some of the people that are stumbling on this video, there is so much wrong with this car. This is not a 442. This is a Cutlass Supreme convertible that somebody has turned into a 442 clone. He claims that the correct gold Engine with the correct chrome valve covers, 442 had blue 455 engines only and olds never offered chrome valve covers 68 to 72. This has the wrong grills for a 442, these are the Supreme grills. And the original Factory OAI hoods were fiberglass. Hard to tell because the video is kind of grainy but it looks like it still says Cutlass Supreme on the glove box door. You know it's a factory console car because it has the gear shift indicator on the speedometer? No sorry only column shift cars had that. Talking about the shine of the paint quality yet the stripes are crooked and incorrect. Hate to pick this thing apart and I hope nobody got taken on this thing, but if anybody is trying to use this video to authenticate a real 442, look somewhere else. The most amusing comment, though... "it's actually a little over restored"

The TD did not have H6 Carburettors,, those are 1 3/4 ".. far too large . "Right?" The TD had 1 1/4 inch carbs unless it was a TD Mark II which had 1 1/2 " carbs "Right?" The TD did NOT have a close ratio gearbox. Right? " The color and the clear is mixed inside it" What nonsense. " Right?" The color is hideous and does not appear to be original. "Right?" The steering wheel is NOT wood. "Right ?" Lots more...What utter bullshit. "Right?"
