The Ohio Station Outlets once had one of these and one Deisel Texan. Both were sold but were awesome t o ride. (Enclosed coaches)

How are the batteries recharged?

Hi Geoff, the batteries are charged by plugging it into a wall unit similar to how most people charge their electric cars.

You do know steam locomotives weren't built just to look pretty right? They were iron giants that hauled trains as far as the eye can see with seering hot boilers and hissing pistons and were built for power, not to to be impersonated by a diesel locomotive to entertain children.

I have not seen any videos of this beautiful piece of art in action. Most likely it's just shoved into the back away from public in "storage" never to likely be pulled out to work. Unless nobody has filmed the train since then and it's there in operation though strange why no video of it has popped up if that was the case.

Perhaps you could build these for Southend Pier to replace the existing Southend Pier trains. They do look really nice and are fully air-conditioned.

Their actually building similar units for the southend pier railway, these are a wider gauge and run using batterys, although I thought just electrifying the line would be more practical since they are ment to be overhauling the entire line, unless they charge whilst they are in the platforms.

Unfortunately the PortAventura trains have since been converted to diesel power. Same locomotives, but repainted and the original tenders replaced with tenders containing diesel engines.
