Guys, I'm speechless. I can't believe the plot tried to romanticize Martin at some point. Seriously, do you believe it was intentional and "oh, he didn't really want to kill his son, he did it for such and such reasons and blah blah blah"? No matter how the plot and Malcolm's belief in his father made people think that, I don't buy it. I learned to separate Sheen's charm from the character, Martin's character is a psychopath, no matter what he says or thinks otherwise. And I feel sorry for Malcolm.

Honestly, after watching this show this with increasingly gritted teeth, I think the ending summed up the series. The level of consequence-free bs shot up in the second series. The lift shaft episode was one of the most ridiculous fantasies (masquerading as something deep) I've ever watched. I enjoyed most of the first season, and I'm happy some fine actors - especially Michael Sheen - got a paycheck. As for the writers.....

Michael Sheen is so incredible in this entire show, but this last scene has some amazing moments. You can see the exact instant when he flips and justifies to himself the decision he's making to kill his son. The character works so well because Sheen is so charismatic, like you KNOW he's a vicious killer but he also has that veneer of dear old Dad, and when the mask slips he's pretty terrifying.

Martin is not gonna die if they planning for continuation in S3. Ainsley will get more role. She is a psychopath. She doesn't even felt guilty or remorse killing Nicholas and that sick joke she plays on Malcolm just to show that she in control. Hello your brother cut up a person for you and she felt nothing. She don't even that worry when her cameraman/bf get stabbed, instead she getting excited seeing her dad in action and filmed it. I bet she doing something after she read that journal of Martin Malcolm doesn't have it in him to hurt others without reasons. Hell he even doing nothing to stop them from hurting him. He just talk to them.

I think after Martin says that Malcolm is just like him, Malcolm realizes that his father is right. Not because he just stabbed him, but because Malcolm realized that he didn't feel bad to do it. The moment he stabbed Martin, Malcolm looks calm an detached, he didn't mind killing someone, he only felt bad when he realized his father was right all along

This had so much potntial as a show. Michael is phenomenal , but not all the cast was good and some of the writing wasn't good enough. I am so happy that hes getting the love he deserves with other shows.

It's crazy that even though Ainsley is the clear psychopath, Malcolm is still Martin's first choice

the fact that we all had to embrace the SUCK as the show ended so abruptly while leaving us on the edge and that this show dwarfs most thriller crime drama shows to date, it had it all and then some. I'm on my second rotation of the series on prime and I'm dying for more. i wonder who the bone head is that dropped the ball on the shows contract renewal? ill be it was the writers, they weren't getting enough monetary satisfaction to contue on thier path of crime drama perfection... i know they can see the numbers of people watching the show and the numbers dont lie, this show was legit bad assery in carnet. scream it loud and proud people we need the rest of season 2, and more seasons after that to fill that urge for solving murder with malcom bright and the good DR...

Their feelings for each other 💕 Dani was concerned at how he's refusing his father's calls and Malcolm was quick to react immediately Gerald scolded Dani to use a coaster😅 their subtle signs of caring for each other didn't go unnoticed by Gerald on the spot. Remember, he "watches people".. didn't take much for him to pick up on this between these two either😂 even though they were still in denial, especially Malcolm until Gerald got him to confess later on.

From the very beginning, it was already foreshadowed that Malcom was for Dani and vice versa. Edrisa literally showed she was getting over her obvious infatuation for Malcolm and Blaze is a good partner that knows her worth which she deserves in a partner.
