This is a really great trick. Getting the switch to lock to external clock is the "missing link" . Right now I have it switching in stereo via the clock out on my 1027 sequencer. Nice! There are a few odd things about the B2600. The Internal Clock out is also an input as well as the square wave LFO out is an input too. You learn something new every time you work with this. Great fun. Certainly not in the manual and Behringer would deny that this worked at all. Thanks for your clever experimentation. Really appreciated. Cheers

"The Internal Clock out is also an input as well as the square wave LFO out is an input too." That's good to know. Is that as per the original 2600 specs?
@moogfooger12 күн бұрын
@@Richard_P_James Hi, thanks for the question. It actually is the same on the original. It is a really finicky thing to set up as you need to get the jack just right to make it work but when it does it is like magic! So it needs to actually touch both neg and pos terminals but not puched in all the way. Let me know how you make out with connecting this. Cheers

hello, I think this is pretty much what I'm trying to do. can you explain how you sync'ed the clock to an external tempo? what are you sending to the "ext clock in"? I'm trying with an 808 rimshot audio and it's not working.

If I send a square pulse wave from ableton sampler or drum rack to my audio interface output into the EXT CLK IN will that do the trick? (uad apollo 8 dc coupled outputs)
@a-la-montagnes Жыл бұрын
The sole reason I bought the 2600 was to achieve this with the s&h! however I'm pulling my hair out trying to figure out how to clock it to ableton/send a LFO square pulse to the EXT INT CLOCK ;/ I have an arturia keystep which has pitch and gate CV outputs - however I just can't figure it out! Can anybody please help?
@JimmyHagerstrom11 ай бұрын
Have you solved it? I have the same hardware and haven't explored the syncing abilities between them that much yet. But a couple days ago i f-ed around with trying to sync the 2600 clock to the keystep or my rd-6 (those two were already synced together on the same clock) but i didn't succeed. :-/ The 2600 has two obvious clocks, right? The S&H clock with all the clock inputs and outputs that seems very obvious and user-friendly when looking at them. Then you also have the LFO that doesnt seem to have a clock-input but it does have gate and trigger outputs. My first thought was doing something like this: Use the LFO as my main clocksource and send a gate/trig signal to the S&H clock input and then use the S&H clock out to connect the other hardware i want on the same clock. That way my drum-machine, keystep and both clocks on the 2600 would use the same clock. My thought was that it would be fun and a easy way to explore the possibilities when they all use the same clock. I didn't get it to work at all though. Rd-6 and keystep was working together fine but i didn't get the 2600 to cooperate with the others at all. I tried everything i could think of, trying with the 2600 both as master and slave and i tried the 3,5mm sync ports, the midiports and i couldn't even sync the lfo with a beat. I really didn't get anywhere with it but i wont give up 😊. It's probably very easy and obvious when i figure it out. The only tip i have for you is to remember the software for the keystep and all the settings you can change there. I have to connect my keystep to my computer and change some settings whenever i switch between using it with my modular and my ms-20 for example. The gate-settings are different and different synths needs the keystep set up differently. If i use keystep with my modular and then try to connect it to my ms20 it wont work at all because the gate works backwards so whenever i press down a key the ms20 gets silent. Very confusing if you're not aware about the gate-setting you have to change 😊. It's possible that there is a similar issue for me with the 2600. I dont know. Yet... Your comment was made a month ago though so i guess you are past this already? In that case, how did you do?
@garthvader42693 ай бұрын
I got this to work by setting the keystep to external sync mode with the switches in the back. I then sent the keystep a clock signal to its sync in port and connected the clock out of the keystep to the EXTCLKIN on the 2600, pushing it in half way as described. Everything worked. I haven't tried with an external midi clock, only gates but it should work

I'm thinking of getting this filter to add to my fledgling modular system. I have the A-124 Wasp and A-120 Moog filters, a couple of different oscillators etc. I love the TB303 sound, and would like something close to it. It doesn't have to be an exact replica, not for my ears, but close enough. I know where there are a couple of new ones going cheap. Just wondering if it's worth it on top of the filters I already have?

What was the process you used to create the wavetable?
@MrHasardos Жыл бұрын
It's pretty simple. I usually use the note F-1, or the lowest possible note. It gives the best end result in my opinion. In some cases, if, for example, the analog osc wobbles too much, it can be a problem or if the tuning meter can't find a note. The good thing about Dimesion is that it directly reads wavetables saved with Serum. In the video, I used an analog oscillator that goes through the MXR-Flanger. Rec on and I manually turned the modulation of the Mxr flanger and its length was approx. 256 cycles. I recorded a few times to get the length right. If there is an FX where the job could be done with midi or CV, it would be easier. However, the MXR is a guitar effect.
@MrHasardos Жыл бұрын
An addition to the previous one. After the recording, I read it into Serum and checked that it was running "wrong". After that recording, transfer to SD card and read Dimesion.

Hey, do I get that right, that you sync the sample and hold clock of the 2600 to an external source? I'd like to sync it with my mc707. I could output some kind of individual audio signal from one 707 channel to the EXT CLCK in of the 2600. What kind of signal would I use? Claps? Would be so cool if I could do that. And if I'd double the number of claps (or whatever) = double the speed?
@MrHasardos2 жыл бұрын
In that demo, I used a sampled Lfo square cycle. The reason was that you can rhythm better. You can also use the 2600 gate out at the left. But, then you are tied to a note pattern. Of course you can also try having a drum machine, rimshot could work. "And if I'd double the number of claps (or whatever) = double the speed?" = Yes.
@heikkiaaltonen70653 жыл бұрын
Cool. So you sample square LFO from 2600 and send it back out through audio out (1channel). Unfortunately I have only mpc one so need to check whether this can be done.
@MrHasardos3 жыл бұрын
Yes, that's right. Siinä on se etu, että voit nopeuttaa synkkausta tai hidastaa tarpeen vaatiessa.
@MrHasardos3 жыл бұрын
Sure you can take electro switch syncan also 2600 gate out -> Ext Clk in. In this case, sync works according to the midi note which is the same as the note gate. Of course, you can get a better control if you take it from a separate track. Then the sync is completely under control and you can do extra tricks.

@MrHasardos3 жыл бұрын
In this case, the sync is very simple. The MPC sends a midi clock -> Arturia BeatStep Pro and BeatStep controls -> 2600. My system is pretty complicated because I want it to work in all directions. Depending on what I am doing I use different sync methods. Usually the sync is one of these CV.OCD, Expert Sleepers ES-3 / ES-6, MPC, Beattpes Pro, Stillson Hammer MK 2 or Studop One & Sonic Core Xite-1. Quite often I also do sync with oldschool method of analog or sample pulse analog output e.g. Stilsson Hammer etc. Xite-1 I build various connections also as well as digital modular (Modular-4) I also take different internal modules, including such as shapers osc etc.

Hi, no adjustments have been made to this particular module. It was in the video exactly what it came from the factory. Many times when modulating (Phaser / Flanger) it is important that the audio source is suitable. Some work better than others. There is a difference in noise. The Flanger module does the most work in this video.

Onko tollasessa paljon huoltamista tai vikoja?
@MrHasardos4 жыл бұрын
