Beautiful, but that Rotec engine??? Verner would be perfect.

J'adore cette machine. Superbe et peu connue. Merci pour la vidéo, c'est rare de voir le modèle en vol.

That little door looks like a great idea. It looks nice and from the looks of it aids in getting aboard much easier. Great idea.

How's that engine holding up? I've heard about a lot of failures with them

How capable are these for basic aerobatics? It’s not really what they are designed for, is it?
@DanasWings6 жыл бұрын
They weren't designed as hardcore acro ships, but they can do most of the garden variety "gentleman's aerobatics".

The person who covered this airplane does first class work. Just watched and appreciated how tight the covering is.

I would love to build a plane just like yours! Where did you get the Kit and what kind of radial engine did you use. Cheers!!
@lightspeed727 жыл бұрын
What a beautiful plane! What variation of the Hatz is this? Where can I get the kit? Also, is the engine separate? I love the radial engine. Would love to find out more of your build.

Watch the propeller strobing furiously-either the camera can't keep up with the revolutions, or our eyes/brain can't. Which one is it?

beautiful Jr Ace and lovely sound of the Rotex radial. Airframe and engine seem to go well with each other cosmetic and power wise. Thanks for posting so long ago.

Excellent! Very nice to see! Congratulations! As a small suggestion, I would recommend a hard helmet on a first-flight, and probably also for the working-in period. But it's a lovely airplane in a lovely place!

I know I am wrong but the engine did not sound too good, as though it was missing a little. My father (ex RAF) used to have the tech manual for the engine on this bird, sad to say, it got burnt in his factory after some local scum tourched the place..

What a delight to see this aircraft. Bud Willson was my dad and he and Chuck rebuilt the wings on this aircraft in our basement. I still have the original prop that was damaged when Commander Downey made an emergency landing in the Morton Arbouretum. Great to see the ol' meyers is going strong.

How much of a hole in your wallet did that engine put in your pocket? I've always wondered how much they cost and haven't seen any reliable price from Rotec.

Yes I have one of these in my homebuilt, 450hrs havent touched it yet. Excellent performance and draws crowds where ever I go. The factory support is good and parts are cheap compared to most others. Most servicable items are off the shelf Automotive filters, plugs, ignition etc. I read that there are now over 500 sold in the USA.
