Leopards and Pumas are around the same size, but leopards are bigger because they have the ability to roar but not purr. Pumas do have the ability to meow and purr and they are the largest cats that can do so. Cheetahs can meow and they are pretty tall, but all in all, it goes leopard then puma. I love pumas. Florida is home to a smaller variety called Florida panthers. There is a person who films his pet puma named Messi on I_am_puma here on KZbin.

Cheetahs are also the fastest species of land (non flying) animal and the 11th fastest of all species of animals. (The peregrine falcon is the fastest.) Leopards are much stronger and more dangerous (to humans) than cheetahs. If you ever see a leopard in the wild, make sure the leopard doesn't see you! If the leopard does see you ... RUN!!

Well for me they don’t but also male cheetahs will hunt in groups and females don’t. And I think leopards are solitary animals.

Nice information. Since I have been watching nature videos on cheetahs and leopards for a long time and it's fairly easy to know whether you're looking at a cheetah or a leopard. Cheetah has spots, a leopard has rosettes. In the big cat world, the cheetah has the smallest head to body size. A leopard is just built so much stouter.

Besides the puma, there is another big cat that can purr-the cheetah. Pumas need to be protected from extinction.
