Very nice. Have you tried putting the delays after the reverb? Hinted at in my old Rocktron gear as an option, and seemingly standard in at least Lukather’s old rigs, reverb into delay was a thing. Optional wiring of humbuckers in parallel is another key aspect I think. Is your Tyler wired to do the parallel buckers with the five way? Cheers, Daniel 🤙🏻

Tyler is wired like normal HSS guitar, in 2nd position humbucker is split with middle pickup. 🙏🏻

so why do use the Bad Moneky Overdrive. It doesn't have enough gain?
@rooperiihijarvi28 күн бұрын
X88-IR has tons of gain and more compared to the original. I just like boosted sound, where is two gain stages cascading. That's why Bad Monkey is in front of X88-IR.

I have tested both and recorded few songs with the old Joonas Parkkonen's X88. Old one doesn't have that much gain as this re-issue has. I think this re-issue sound great and is very close to the original. 🔥

Great work! it sounds wonderful. I may have to pick up a James Tyler soon. Have a question would one just resort back to FW 15.01 and jump around depending on the presets? I always wondered would that be more hassle then its worth or not. I'm on FW 24.05 I believe. Thanks!
@rooperiihijarviАй бұрын
Thanks! Those Tyler guitars are awesome, and midboost is crucial part of that 80s clean tone. I just gave that FW note, 'cause if you're straight copying these setting, it doesn't sound the same because Fractal has changed algorithms with updates. With newest FW you can achieve that very same sound but you need to tweak it little bit different, because of those changes. Signal chain stays the same.
