intel soldier basically can use the file/paper drops that you find to ascertain what german has what, like if they have grenades, artillery strikes, flamethrowers, etc. I haven't gotten one all of his skills but I do know he can also use enemy maps to give the party EXP

Yea not to pile on but I just bought mud and blood made it through my first day first try 4 soldier alive and they honestly only died because of silly mistakes not like the game for one over one like me pushing my gunner forward instead of my light infantry letting my gunner cover and getting my gunner killed and being to lazy enough to not make sure. Also tbf I was laying the demo for a couple days and it's only one mission in the campaign but farther into the story so little harder in terms of the unforgiveness so maybe that helped. Also I found out there are dedicated guides wether on steam or the wiki that are basically tactics guides that explain simple rules of engagement and honestly after barley scratching whatever I need to click, clicked and I feel more confident in the game. But trial and error main name of the game see what unit combos work for you and what style of tactics you wanna employe

Also man just to say the game is just fucking hard as well you know bcuz while I was doing ell in my first camping I get a lot deeper into hedgerow a lot quicker than I thought I would 6/20 and I have a decent squad 4 solider upgraded at least once do twice and two rookies I split my team 4 and 2 there a line of bushes I put them in the middle to see a artillery position like 10 ft from the bushes and couple of other solider in defensive position maybe 2 or 3 I move my 2 into firing position snd my 4 man was across from the artillery I rush them and what do you know one of those tent ambushes pop out and normally you might lose one or two people maybe not maybe you're still in a good position one of them had a flamethrower though so lost 2/3 of my squad 2 rookie 2 promoted solider. Of of a great tactical play given my card since there was no cover yet just ain't matter never could've known there where 2-3 more solider lying in wait and one with a flamethrower. So all that so say definitely keep it head up none of that "Holy crap I suck" nonsen

Press 7, you will select all of them. Usually not a good idea, considering the risk of getting steamrolled by an ambush.

How do you get a veteran squad I'm lucky if my guys make it 10 patrols they average about 4 then die any tips?

@@benhoneybone8017 what i started doing, and did a big improvement on my gameplay was splitting my guys into 3 long range hard hitters (sniper, gunner, heavy rifleman) and 3 close range soldiers who will finish whatever is left of the enemy by the time they close in (still testing, since they die a lot, i had more consistent results with an scout, intel and a light infantry). With this strategy, managed to get a gunner to 100+ patrols, which was a HUGE milestone.

@@benhoneybone8017 I absolutely recommend you to try only moving your guys when someone is actually giving them cover, supressing the enemy so they wont shoot back. In my case, most of the time the back line (sniper, gunner, heavy rifleman) is giving the actual cover. Not a hard rule, sometimes i do the opposite depending on the situation.

I still got my vet gunner smoked due to an airburst mortar strike, lol. This game is merciless.

also, i do not have trouble retreating and returning to the mission with 6 guys if everything goes to shit. Fuck the schedule lmao
