More 90's than 80's. The lost clubs of the 80's are, the Nimbus, Copperbox, Rivers Edge, Chic Ricks, Happy Medium, The Hideout, 61st and Lowe, Golden Fort. No house music. House Music 90's.

You all know the very worst part about this whole "HOUSE MUSIC ERA" thing? In our day there were clubs ALL over the city dedicated to teenagers and house music. Sad part? Kids of the last 30-40 years WILL NEVER EVER experience that environment and honestly it's shame. We were out ALL night and our parent didn't worry... We lived to dance and danced to live. I wouldn't trade OUR childhood and upbringing for nothing in the world. I'll be 60 in 2 months and when I'm 80 I'll still be bangin' HOUSE MUSIC.... Love all of my house head brothers and sisters, I don't care who you are. If you love house I love YOU!!!!

The spot near Belmont and Lake Shore Drive (3:03), has always had a parking lot. The area east of the parking lot, along the lakeshore, was called Belmont Rocks. In the 60s and 70s, it was a gay, predominantly white cruising and hangout spot. In the late 70s, gay Blacks and Latinos started frequenting the area. There were picnics, dance parties, and gay and lesbian couples socializing. At some point, I believe the mid to late 90s, someone decided to kick the gays out of that area by restricted the access to the parking lot and using the police to harass people hanging out in the area.

Safe to say there were many cultures traveling the oceans of the world in history the Vikings in particular I think it's fair to say everyone has a blend of many cultures and blood lines we all came from the same places to place yourself into a box is ridiculous it only takes 2 generations to change history and create another we are all being manipulated into arguments because division stops people from looking outside the box of illusion. It stops you from being truly free 🪄 moreimportant things to be fighting like the globalist destruction creating this reality... snap out of it people we all bleed...

no, that is made up fantasy nonsense. the kaimanawa wall is a natural feature, the evidence shows the first people in nz were the eastern polynesian ancestors of maori who began arriving from around 1250AD. vikings were nowhere near nz.

My first underground party was the second Storm rave in an old gas station in Staten Island! I remember that first 5000 person rave... It was out in Brooklyn by Caeser's Bay. It was NEXT LEVEL. People from all over the East Coast. I remember one thing about that party: It was the only time I ever saw any of the Limelight Club Kids in a warehouse outside of Manhattan. Props to Walt Paper! Being in a crowd that big where no one had attitude, no one was drunk or incapacitated. Everyone was just there for loving the music and loving each other. It was a rare moment on Earth that I wish everyone could experience!

I can remember sneaking into the Playground with a fake HS id when I got my first exposure to house parties. From 81 to the 90’s me and the crew partied at damn near every place he named high schools and all. House music never promoted violence only good feelings

I'm from Chicago and started partying in 1979. New York is the birthplace. It was called disco in the 1970s and then people started calling it House Music in the 80s. Probably because Frankie Knuckles DJd at 'The Warehouse' and that name stuck. Disco and the legendary clubs were in NYC loooooong before Frankie Knuckles left NYC and came to Chicago.

With all due respect to the House Music cultura... We as Mexicans & other Hispanos on the South/West sides had our parties as well in the early 80's. Same as in Elementary school & High School parties, we also had our tern parties in Banquet Halls & Teen clubs with some of the dopest DJ's from our side of town. Chicago Dance Promotions, Magic Sounds Productions, Fusion Dance Promotions, and several others all catered to the South/West sides of Chitown. Places like: The Palace Regency, Grand Manor, Studio Mexico (those that know, know) Casa Blanca, The Boston Club, Western Ballroom, American Legion Hall, I.H.M., St. Agnes on Archer, The Lawndale Hall, Blessed Agnes, Dancing Wheels, Isabel's Skating Rink, Boys & Girls Clubs, etc. and many more were the weekend party scene for many of us. Yes, we also did adventure up north to experience other party scenes as we got a bit older in our teens. For myself, my experiences which were my favorites up north were: The Rainbow Skating Rink, The Riviera Night Club, Aragon Ballroom, The Warehouse, Faces on Rush St., Centrum Hall, Steps, Navy Piere, and several others. Now in to my adult years began the Night Club scene to where we were all bouncing around from the South/West sides to the North/East sides to enjoy the various Night Clubs & DJ's which were too many to mame, and various genres of music being played syluch as: Alternative, Newave, House, Hip Hop, High Energy / Italo Dico, 80's Classic Dance Electro - Break Beats, Punk Rock, Reggae, Blues, Rock, Goth / Industrial, etc ... The 80' and 90's decades were the epitome of the Chicago party scene PERIOD 😎 Let me not get started on the Suburban party scene or .. or..... Lol. All of the ditch daytime parties we experienced in Chitown. ❤🎶🎵🎶🎵🎶♥️

Yep! The Riviera, Aragon Ballroom and Medusa’s (Sheffield and School) were the spots. Me and my friend had a phase where we were into Puerto Rican dudes so we used to go wherever the Culitos (spelling?) were. Lol!😆 That was back in the day too when there were dance groups that threw parties. Front Row was another group.
