There is a big area of this at cresswell

The circular indentations are the rear part of hay racks. The semi circular feature I've heard is the remains of a covered walkway so exercise could be taken.

Very interesting, I spent many happy hours around this area in the 1950s, it was very overgrown then, camped near the fresh water well/spout. I had a clinker built boat called The Turbot which we used to row out to fish for codling etc at 12 to 13 yrs of age.

Best shots I have ever seen of waves crashing into the shore/rocks, so interesting and powerful, expected rocks to be totally round and no seaplants on them?

Fantastic video Paul. My dad Tommy had a boat there for years and I used to go out with him on the boat to lift the lobster pots.

Awesome! There’s something on the high tide line on the north east corner of rocky Island , like an old winch? Or maybe part of a ship? I keep meaning to get a long exposure of it. Just at the bottom of the cliff next to the Watch-house museum.

The circular holes will have had metal hay racks attached to the front of them. We use hay nets these days. I love this place and I go visit it every holiday

The smooth shiny granite boulder (and there are many black ones) arr terminal moraine brought download from Scotland during the ice age. On Whitley cliff by the putting green you can make the out a layer of them embedded in the soil.

This was right up the coast to Beadnell and further. Still around last Sunday but Bamburgh was bright and sunny.

Looks like something out of a scifi movie the way it comes onto the land.
