@@HuntSoloPublic I definitely love this sort of content. I was thinking about doing a last minute OTC solo hunt this year for elk but I just couldn’t get myself to commit to it. Having a buddy with me always gives me that feeling of comfort just in case I get hurt or I get myself in a bind. It’s a whole different world of hunting out there compared to what I’m use to here in Illinois.

@@Natec_photo Yea solo can be scary but I like the solace and adventure. As long as you take the proper precautions it can be a really good time to figure out what you’re made of. Having a friend does take some concern out and can be more fun but I feel I perform my best if everything is on me. Growing up in Ga western hunting always seemed daunting but like the ultimate adventure. Glad you enjoyed it! Hope you get out there and smoke one soon

Congratulations on a great bull! Just to give you a friendly tip try to slow down your chuckles/ grunts when you're bugling. Even throw in a half bugle in with the chuckles. The cadence can be even more important than the sound. Ive heard bulls do terrible sounding bugles and chuckles but their cadence is similar.

I am impressed with folks that can come way out here and find a bull to shoot and I am ashamed that as a resident I struggle to find an elk to shoot. I live here and I had no idea there was open, public land with tons of rutting elk. Apparently I need to step up my scouting game. I've been wasting my time trying to find elk in the timber when all along they were out in the open. Nice work!

@@faithhuntfit501 Yea I think locating is half the battle. They were definitely in the timber too but I think my calling abilities were very limiting. No need to be ashamed! Keep putting in that work! Seems like they will be where they want to be and glassing the more open areas is definitely a good tactic.

I’m a shameful resident also. I’m 30 minutes from my usual archery elk area. I can take you to elk 10 months out of the year. September/October, I have no clue. My first 4 years of archery hunting, I never seen or heard an elk. The last 4 years I find them but not where I think they should be, and bump them. It’s a high pressure area so when you bump them they disappear

@@ItsAllAboutBrandon I do diy hunts across country and don’t want to pull a trailer from ga to Montana. I like the organization for camping and hunting gear. Still plenty of room to strap down coolers and other gear on top. I added a topper and sleep back there as well. All that to say for me they work great.

@@abuabdillahat-tunisi1775 there was a small stream trickling and someone had a pvc pipe setup to funnel it into bottles. It was about half way. We brought our own and I’m not sure if that water source is always flowing.

Fasting is actually good for you, I lost 45 pounds in 60 days with Keto and intermittent fasting. We live in them mountains, I’ve hunted here over 30 years. Being over weight in the mountains you may as well just kick yourself in the face because these mountains will certainly do it for you. Just my luck everything I’ve hit always runs down hill.

@@HuntSoloPublic You’re aware of the archery only areas up here right? There is a primitive camping at Woodring branch at Carters lake. Everything around the lake is Archery WMA and there are some Boone and Crocket bucks around that area. A few specialty hunts where they lock us out but other than that, it’s a good chance during rut at a big buck. In case you’re interested.

@@DrCBurton you got me there 😂 definitely not the complete kit but I like to ruck with weight and bino harness and then practice shooting with all the gear on after a workout. To me that’s the best way to prepare for what the moment of truth could be like. I’ll have to wear pants on the next one!

Good demo. I just ordered one for my 2023 Silverado. It took me a while to find a toolbox like yours, that had a shallower depth. Most are either too deep or too shallow to be worth buying. Looks like they work great together.
