I think it's a very useful comment he made on thinking about one's lifestyle when planning the van. It's a great job, well done. His type of job did make things quite a bit easier, I would think. It took me several months to build my much simpler van, because I could only work weekends. However this doesn't belittle the fact that he did a pristine job based on a thoughtful planning. Congratulations!

And yes, having the time and resources to work on it definitely helped him create something so detailed and beautiful. But, as you said, it’s all about thoughtful planning and making the most of what you have.
