What drills do you use for hitters to help get their back elbow slotted?

How do you do this but make sure you aren’t leading with your back elbow?
@Coach_Damek_Tomscha
@Coach_Damek_Tomscha 3 ай бұрын
I like to tell my hitters to have their back elbow get to their back hip then release the hands forward. If it releases too soon it could make the hitter over rotate their chest/ front side. All swings will be slightly different of course depending on pitch location. Hope that makes sense and helps!

Would the second drill be effective for left handed hitters?
@Coach_Damek_Tomscha
@Coach_Damek_Tomscha 3 ай бұрын
Yes it will still work. I’ve see David Ortiz (big papi) do it in the game. But you can always step with the back foot for left handed hitters. Main objective of the cue/ drill is to not open up your front side too early.
