Only if u are 2 players in ur entire tier lobby.. and u r 2nd then u will get the key without playing the GP.. But coming 2nd in one round is not enough .. u have to play the entire GP..

It depends on how well you did in the practice rounds. Your qualifying time doesn’t matter to your actual tier placement.
