Went yesterday, except the 19 arches don't look that clean - it's deceiving and it makes the place look abandoned from the outside, otherwise very beautiful mission - ours is the queen of the missions

My brother and his family are driving from Lancaster to spend the day with Aunty and what better place to start off our “ return to school excursion for my nieces n nephews, I am so excited so working 14 hour shifts feels like a breeze every time I thinkbn remember why n whim it’s for…my family. Was just there last week from Colorado. What a beautiful place. When I walked into the chapel the music was playing quietly and I was overcome by the peacefulness of it. Perfect place to go when you are feeling stressed.

Mission Dolores is one of the oldest missions in the world. In fact, it was included on the City Tour field trip that I went on in the 3rd Grade 25 years ago in May 1998. My 3rd Grade class didn't have much time to visit the cemetery that day. The 3⃣🔔s from Mexico were beautiful to observe even though they remind me a little bit of the logo for Mission food products that are sold at food stores near you. Did you know that they still ring today as mentioned in the "Mission Dolores" section of my book about San Francisco that Elisa Kleven illustrated?
