Yeah...they also say not to sleep with your baby. Which is ridiculous. Babies aren't meant to sleep in a crib alone.

Keeping Cholecalciferol levels up could help a lot. It is involved in breathing during sleep. Levels should be at least 55ng/ml. Also, I believe the traditional approach of inclined strapped to a board in swaddling clothes is probably safe.

If we applied the same standard to babies as we do elections then the government would say this "You are a conspiracy theorist. You can't prove that the baby doesn't want to die, because once it is dead you can't ask it and it is too young to talk anyway. You are a baby suicide denier."

I’ve had 3 babies and never had a problem. How are these killing babies? Mine loved it. Same angle as a car seat so I don’t know why this would kill babies but car seats don’t.

What the heck is this?! Congratulations, you've made (or are selling) a baby death trap. Babies are supposed to move in their regulated cribs. Safe sleep is ABCs, not this nonsense.

Positional asphyxia can happen even when baby is not in an elevated device. Babies are very soft and don't have much control of their upper body. It is less likely to happen in a plain crib but it can still happen, nothing is 100% In child care we are asked to have 100% visual on a sleeping child or check on them every 15 min when sleeping, which is reasonable during the day in care. I'm sorry but no human parent can be awake every 15 min during the night. Thank you for your video and information.

The problem is the design. It should have the same harness that a car seat has. In addition only use with a parent around.

So glad you did this video!!! I know it's been 2 years since you posted this, but I personally witnessed the near death of a 9 week old infant who was in this exact same style of "sleeper"at a daycare center. This particular daycare was here in Canada, and although this product had been sold as a "soother" they were using them as a sleeping device(s) for 10-15 infants at any given time! Long story short, the baby survived but not before he had suffered a hypoxic brain injury which will affect his development for the rest of his life............................... Breaks my heart that this happened, but it did pave the way for much more stringent inspections of ALL equipment used in our daycare centers here in Canada.

Wow, this was given to me at my baby shower 2 weeks ago to be used as my night-time bassinet! I'm 37 weeks pregnant today. Since receiving this, I felt it could be dangerous because of the incline. I'm so glad I checked this out... linked to 32 infant deaths, yikes. I just ordered the Fisher-Price Soothings Motion bassinet, for SLEEP! Infants should be sleeping on a firm, flat surface! Thank you for the information.

I ran across this back when they had that story about the parents trying to find out what killed their baby. Unfortunately too late for their child, but not mine at the time. I'm glad you mentioned that babies need to be flat on their backs to sleep. Too many people think they could never be comfortable sleeping that way so they don't head the words of the doctors that want to keep your kids healthy and grow up strong. Now that I'm writing this to you, there's been at least 100 deaths alone attributed to this one thing!! However, there's soo many counterfeits and knock offs that you don't dare to find this sitting in a GoodWill. This would be a great time to tell new and newer parents to always check the items you're going to get for your children ARE NOT recalled, and if they are recalled to notify management to the problen

I totally agree with the misalignment point. My son used mam pacifiers and has perfect teeth. My neice onnthe other hand uses avent silicone pacifiers and all of her baby teeth have molded to the shape of her binky. 😬 never would have thought about this when it came to binks until i noticed my neice

So if they are out of the harness and using only the seat belt, how it is anchored to the seat. Simply by the seat belt over the child’s chest.. and nothing else?

I’m a little late. But thank you for sharing this information. It’s so important as some people are still using these. 73 deaths as of now. Some were do to positional asphyxiation. Not the parents fault. I’m sickened by other moms and parents blaming the parents. It’s disgusting.

My second born child had to be at an angle because he had GERD and the crib we had had no way to angle the mattress without something being piled up under the mattress and so we could not use the sling. You know NOTHING about GERD. When my son slept flat in his first three months he had episodes where he would shake violently like a seizure. Your practical is moronic. I am in no way saying you are moronic, but I know from personal experience it is not difficult to get an infant use to a new routine. It is 100% practical to get an infant use to new routines.
