Hi there, Marcus. I've been playing the diatonic harmonica for almost six years and I will soon be starting to learn the chromatic. I always loved the sounds of chromatic players like Toots Thielemans, Filip Jers, and Stevie Wonder. However, I'd never thought that I'd be one because somebody told me that in order to be a "good" harmonica player, I needed to play pieces with chromatic notes only on the Chromatic and blues only on the diatonic, obviously this guy hasn't heard of blues chromatic players like William Clarke, Paul DeLay, and George Smith. The guy who said this had college degrees and was very stuck up in his butt when it came to his opinions as he believed that there's only one way to play the instruments. It was only recently that I started regaining interest in the Chromatic again because of a Japanese KZbinr named Mayu Shibuki. She has more subscribers than me (she's almost at 18k subs), but has been very kind towards me, a smaller content creator who also does harmonica content. I hope that someday I can be a good chromatic player like her someday.

What’s right for someone else might not be right for you. Everyone is trying to to figure out what to work on and what not to work on. Find what works for you and ignore the rest. Keep up the good work and Don’t You Worry ‘Bout A Thing.

Hi Marcus. Thanks so much for your informative harmonica lessons. It’s rather rare that someone can communicate as clearly as you. Best wishes from the San Francisco Bay Area. - Tim

Not gonna lie, I am hella impressed. Your picking is clean, you are using a slide, and the harp mastery is absurd.

Yes. I do these as a follow up for my private student lessons and to make some free material for everyone else. Unfortunately I have a long to do list and don't always have the time to do tabs video editing. One day I hope.
