This is a great album. RUSH had 10 of them. One of the 5 greatest bands ever, no matter who ranks them all.

Every single member of that “band” pushed one another. I don’t really consider Cream to be a true band because they each just did their own thing and it worked somehow. You just don’t see that much. But they were probably destined to implode or explode because of it. Amazing musicians and amazing music. Awesome job on the bass cover

I don't even know where to begin. 1.) You're bass is ringing in the key of E flat 2.) You're tablature is in E 3.) You're music notation score above the tablature displays 4 sharps which is the key of E (????) 4.) The notation beginning at the 5th bar/measure is notated as a D#?? so you're ringing E fat with a key signature of E despite the an A chord displayed just above it?? So, You're sounding in the key of E flat with the music score written in the key of E with the notes playing in.... i give up. i mean i know what's going on. but why would this help anyone? Who, what, why and how?!
@Angelo64727 күн бұрын
You are drowning in a drop of water, pal. Just half step down your bass, play by ear and forget about the tablature.

I appreciate that you are trying to sell the tab, but making it legible in the video would be nice. Fantastic work on putting it all together, though!

The L.A. Woman album is notable for having a single bass guitarist , Jerry Scheff, play through the whole album. The Doors aways used a bass guitar in their studio work as they needed the low end that only a bass guitar can produce but up to this point the band would use various bass guitar players. Jerry Scheff was so present on the L.A. Woman album that he might as well have been considered part of the band. I can't remember where I read this but maybe it was Ray who said that whenever they would audition a bass player when they were toying with the idea of adding a bass guitarist as a member of the Doors the sound of the band took on a different character that interferred with the Doors sound. On L.A. Woman Jerry Scheff was integral to the songs on the album so his playing was a nateral fit for what they were trying to do.

Carlos Santana and Stevie Ray Vaughan both said that they became aware at a very young age that they were not interested in the music of little boys. they wanted to play the music of grown men. Anyone blessed with the good fortune of living in Atlanta in the 60s & 70s might remember that they had 2 great college FM stations, WRAS out of Georgia State,, and WREK out of Georgia Tech. Those two amazing stations helped me to break through the glass ceiling of top 40 and hear such fine music as this at an age when I was still young enough and impressionable enough not to have any "baggage" in my head and experience music such as this at a very pure and untainted level at age 9 and 10. I came to the same conclusion as Carlos and Stevie when I myself was still a little boy. Thank God for small miracles.

It would be nice if there was a countdown before you started playing. If I'm using my hand to unpause the video and you start playing right away, I don't have time to get my hand in position on my bass before you play the first note. It doesn't have to be long, just give it like 4 or 5 seconds before you start
