Maybe i missed it somewhere, did the guys ever weigh the finished aj16 engine or the car with it fitted? I'm really interested to see how much weight it saved. Great videos and a lovely finished car!

One of my favourite KZbin videos since 2005, is how good that was. I would love to see Harry testing the 2 Jags back to back. What an amazing tribute to Emma

Really useful video, I love how straight to the point you are and really easy to listen to. I bought one of these in about October last year and on December hit a pothole and ruined my wheel. I have the red alloy spare as you said because I have the r package brakes but it wouldn't fit at all. The bolt pattern seemed to be wrong so I could only line one maybe two studs up at a time. Any idea why this would be like that? I hope we see more of what you do to fix this car up in the future really enjoyed what you've done so far 👍

Can you post the info on the fuel tank components that you found to be reliable so those of us to far away to bring our cars to your shop know what to buy and where to buy it?

My pick would be the TWR XJ-15. So much better looking (and sounding) than the XJ220.

Charge it 100% a lot of faults will go away. Take it from reading forums and this car for 5 years. That's the number one thing to do: have a full battery and a good one.

You say a pulley "remap", but is this not a case of fitting a smaller pulley (6 or 10%), larger intercooler/pump if you want, and that's it? I wasn't aware that the ECU was programmable/tuneable given its age?

2:22 - I don't believe that's correct. Surely what a clutch pack limited slip diff does is divert more power to the wheel with the most grip and usually there is a 30/70 or 70/30 split. In the wet you won't get tyre marks but the rear of the car will fish tail from side to side as the diff hunts for grip, while the car goes forward in a straight line. What you described the conventional clutch pack limited slip diff does, is in fact what the Quaife does. The Quaife locks the diff action so both wheels spin at the same speed and the split is 50/50. While this means the wheel with grip 'only' gets 50% of the grip, rather than 70%. However, this means there is less load on the half shafts. On a standing start with a Quaife you will get two lines but that equal power split means the back end (on a rear wheel drive car) will step out to the right a bit. If you have any doubts about the accuracy of what I have said then ask Quaife to confirm/contradict or clarify.

I have a 2006 XKR convertible in pretty good condition, but it’s still a project. I daily drive it for most of the 6 months it’s not in storage (Chicago winters). I’m especially interested to see how the Brembo brakes are. I just replaced all the pads and flushed the fluid and it still feels spongy. It’s the first car I can’t get the brakes rock hard and I don’t know why. Any Hints? Love your channel and all the great work you’ve done for Harry and other KZbinrs. I’m watching O&DR Modurol and his manual transmission swap, which I think originated right here over 10 years ago.
