Watching this reminds me of my husbands struggle. His weekly payments were so high, loads were so inconsistent. Dispatchers sending him to loads that were canceled. One week of gross every few weeks was killing us. Thank God my shop carried us but it kept both of us having to work and we have a toddler. It took one week for no work to put in under and he was breaking even every week after bringing nothing home. Making $8k-$10k a week still not being able to bring everything home bc they get paid first. No way for him to manage and prioritize his own money. There’s so many hands in pot and truckers, the hardest and most important part, gets the scraps. Is there a way truckers can unite and make sure you guys are protected. Broker’s, dispatchers, company’s double dipping, it’s legal robbery! Bless you on your journey and I hope all your hard work pays off!

I’m not going to lie it could be hard at times now if you have a family, you are going to spend a lot of time on the road meaning you won’t see them especially if you have small kids. I don’t know your situation, but it’s not that easy. it might look easy, but it’s not There’s a lot of things that come into play. You’re on the dedicated account, which is possible for you to go home during the week for a night plus do a 34 and possible at least that’s what I used to do when I did those target loads out of Midway Georgia. I’ll be putting out a video pretty soon. I have one year and three months so I’m gonna talk about that. It’s a big sacrifice. That you will be making !! Thanks for your comment be safe out there.

It’s not bad, $75,000 net in your pocket. You’re forgetting you paid truck payments and fuel, that’s not lost money or Zero. That’s you paying into your future. Who else do you know that can pay $4,000+ a month for a truck payment? Or $5,000 in fuel? There’s another $100,000 you spent in the year. When you complete the program, you’ll have a truck and it’ll get you up to $100,000+ net a year.

That is true 👍 I hear you that is the goal. To pay it off completely and hit those high numbers but it’s still the reality of having to pay it off while working for an income with a SFI truck or lease it is weekly payments and if anything was to go wrong everything will go down the drain. @@truckingwithjl7826 may the 4 wheelers stay out of our way brother haha. The good news, if you’re running your business for a few years you can go finance a truck at a dealer. I’ve seen 300,000 mile internationals going for $30-$45,000. Get a CPA to depreciate it to 0 year 1 as a write off, and put an extra $3,000 in your pocket every month instead of that big payment, and pay it off in a year. If you luck out and get just 2 years out of it, you upgrade into something a little better over time, and before you know it you’re running a new peterbilt, kenworth. I’ve seen someone drive the wheels off a $15,000 truck, and it last years before having anything to wrong, Pre EMISSIONS.

Im an independent O/O and i never go home anymore because i chase every penny i can. Im barely making it as i pray things turn around 🙏🏾 . Between low rates, higher fuel, and truck maintenance im losing my azzzz out here. I had a $1400 load cancel on me at the last minute which felt like a punch to the gut because it was to late to book another load and broker only gave me $150 for the cancelation 😢. I can't afford to go home and im paying rent for a home im never able to sleep at. But im waiting on a call to haul hopper bottoms locally where my buddy is making good money. Hopefully he can get me on soon 🚛

Schneider has an account with Goodyear but I had to go to a Loves and get it replaced so I wind up being a little more but it’s better to be safe than sorry😄

Stick with it and things will turn up. Rates are starting to go up slightly but as Schneider is mostly contracted freight it will take a little longer to show up on your load board.

Yes, once a while I do over five but lately it’s been around 3800 to 4200 gross last week I did 4990 and next week coming. I’ll probably break even because of home time. Thanks for your coming. Be safe out there.

Everything is good Terry still making some OK money well last week I broke even because I went home but the week before I did 26 and change and this week is looking like 2190 now next week I’m trying to go home again well today is Thursday so I’m trying to be home next Tuesday this Tuesday coming I’ll probably break even again because the fuel but I’m good be safe out there take care

Hey, my truck is a 2021 it’s been a little bit rough these days. but I have managed. I’m still making it happen. Maybe wait a little bit if you’re planning to come as an IC here at Schneider .
