Nice. My current writing project and fav guitar is in Drop B on a $300 Artist HH tele with NYXL 11-56's and Artist bullbuckers (JB clones)... put a bunch of custom thigh, belly and forearm curves into it and stripped back half the finish... it was like a whole new guitar was hiding underneath. Super comfy. Now easily beats some of my guitars that cost a LOT more and just *sings* and feels inspiring to play. Good to hear from you!

Yeah drop B has been a fun ride so far . Thin strings , easy to dial in , no low frequencies to fight . Good to her from you and always appreciate your input . Cheers BC

I just discovered this channel, and the band Car Bomb. This is great. That riff was sick, had me bobbin' my head. I love playing my 7-string, and I'm always looking for more ways to improve my playing. I just happened to have bought a multiscale (25.5 to 27 scale), and I still own a 26.5 scale. Love both, and use both for different tones.

Is it possible to tune to Drop E like Loathe on a 27inch baritone neck without tonal issues?
@CiteWhyclosa3 ай бұрын
Loathe plays on baritones so definitely. May need to get a new nut and proper gauge strings. I wouldn’t drop to e without getting my baritone set up
@ryanpenland56653 ай бұрын
@@CiteWhyclosaThank you! I actually ordered a custom 30 inch baritone jazzmaster kit to build for myself.
@CiteWhyclosa3 ай бұрын
@@ryanpenland5665 30 inch will definitely hit it. That’s in bass vi territory so technically you’d be tuning up to drop e as they are usually set up for e standard (bass register) 😄 happy chugging!

Frank brothers are a polarising body shape but I aven't heard anyone say they're duds to play and listen to. Cool point with flatwound having higher tension for lower tunings. I'll try to remember that.
@YourCaliBos8 ай бұрын
Right on man , just trying something different over here . Appreciate you tuning in -Cheers BC

Frank Brothers guitar looks awesome. That volute at the neck reminds me of a Martin, really cool. There's a gem here imo at 15:20 'get up...early early early to play / get that time in' man I love that, what it takes to release quality music at the rate you do.

Hell yeah brother. Love those Loller Imperials, my fav pups actually, using them at the moment. New project sounds cool too. Never tried flats. Been busy over here writing and recording a bunch of stuff for a couple of projects to finally come out later this year. Truck's nearly done too... :)
@YourCaliBos8 ай бұрын
You’re using them too eh , now you definitely need to try those flatwounds , killer tension . I’m happy to hear you’ve been busy making music n recording. I think we at a point in time where all of us would benefit from digging in to our passions-to much static out there . Looking forward to your new tunes and congrats on that mega truckka- that’s the way to go . See ya in the next one .

@blackthorn88218 ай бұрын
Do you have a video where you can show us the tone difference using these different scale lengths but with same tension and tuning (using different string gauges)? Some argue they can't hear the difference in tone for high gain music and would rather go for the more comfortable playing of the shorter scale guitars.

New fan here, this OC-5 video brought me in, I just bought one for my bass. Great chops Erin, the bass is a beast and Chumleys- a bonus, the Tube delivers! Cool vibe on your channel, the no hype sales approach. The baritone design reminds me of Dingwall custom, longer scale with fanned frets. Baritone came first tho before Sheldon rolled out his product line. I've seen Beatles footage where John and George were using a Fender baritone guitar and I thought huh. Your share about passing on the river guide offer rings a bell, we have a lights out gold medal river in our hood too and hooking up is a passion.
