I just wanted to say I got into melee through the yard and I am one of those kids who went to the cave and ngl I was pretty starstruck learning that it was zains local and he does pop by pretty often to play puff vs kevin, but also its just going strong in general theres like 40 entrants every week and last week we had the last cave in the current location and 150 people came out to celebrate, so with limited hinsight I’d say inperson community is still going strong, hell tommorow im going to a smashfest at someones house for games with the boys.

Just recently got into melee because of the yard someone respond to this in 8 years to see if I’m better than slime yet

I came from The Yard and watched this episode when it came out and thought "this shit is funny". Then I watched all of Bad Melee from the beginning, and also watched all of Slime on the Scene and Off the Sticks. Finally arriving back here with all of the context and weight feels really good and cathartic and I'm happy that I went on this journey.
