Commercial is a hole different thing, you have to be an expert in only one thing about hvac, this could be the piping, controls, service, sheet metal, plumbing, insulation, each of them is a different contractor. And in residential you are the jack of all trades.

Just took a class today and the stuff about recovery machines has changed to it being fine. Also you could use your old analogs and be fine because pressures are close, not suggested though. You can get new heads for the analog manifold, so not a complete replacement. Digitals are fine, newer FPs have it and older 1s can be updated, same with most other brands. Vaccums are the same, but now everything has to be a triple evac and a 1hr nitrogen pressure test. Recovery machines and tanks will need to be replaced and we will need to get left thread adapters for our hoses. It is flammable, but not explosive, even then it is hard to ignite. The EPA is obviously being extra careful with the regs and everything. The biggest cost will be labor, since recovery machines pay for themselves after a few uses. Its nice that it uses the same oils as 410, so it wont be as bad as going from 22 to 410.
