I am watching this later and disregard my KZbin name 😅 made it at 16 but Cecily makes a great point about we can protect black men but not when they put themselves in these positions. That really made me think if we protect Bill Cosby what are we saying to the young black man that this is okay because A) We all have mothers and sisters we would not condone this behavior with B) The average black man doesn’t have the money or influence Cosby has in order to get himself out of the situation. Let’s be Honest money got him out of that situation. By protecting Cosby we are essentially misleading and sacrificing young boys and girls looking at this situation thinking this is acceptable.

If we're going to be talking marriage rates across generations, we have to address the rights of certain groups as well. During the time older boomers were getting married women still couldn't have their own bank accounts. That's just one example of outside factors influencing such decisions.
