I was rooting for theses kids the whole season but when your not disciplined and you get penalties on top of penalties then there’s only one outcome.If not for the boat load of penalties they would have certainly won this game and moved on.But congrats for a good season boys!!

I’m a huge fan of #8 the RB but for the love of God someone teach this young man how to protect the damn football.That first fumble there wasn’t anyone around him and he would have scored for sure.But the other 3 was lack of discipline.And I’m rooting for young dude too!

The fact that Lambert acknowledges that “it’s my O line” says tons about his character.Amazing RB and an even better show of character!Thats a player that when your tired you can jump on his back and he will take you to the end zone on his own!

I’m gonna be honest, the temper tantrums and not listening to coaches and the attitude is a big reason why they ain’t winning.Teams who win state championships are disciplined and have a one heartbeat mentality.Ive been on those teams and won state and seen how it is to have all these things they lack

The QB is a cancer for sure!!I played offensive and defensive tackle and I wouldn’t care to miss a block or two to get him punished and back to reality.You gotta respect and take care of your O line when your a QB not tell on them and degrade them

Qb is not a leader what so ever, can’t argue with the coaches and talk down on your players for throwing picks

Your cinematography isn't good. I don't wanna watch a coach talk while he coaches an athlete. Show me the adjustments the athlete makes. I don't wanna see a man stand around talking, I wanna see movement. You can overdub the words, over film of players training.

I just finished this series amd I love it. I love Tae Tae and Javontae. They are the two best players on the team and are very humble and excellent examples of how to carry yourself on the field. Its not shocking that Tae Tae is going to ND. Did Javotae end up playing somewhere in college? I like the coaches. I believe they are genuinely invested in these young men. If I have one small criticism its the fact they are so overly emotional. Young people are a reflection of the adults they are closest to. The coaches complained about the kids not controlling their emotions, yet all they see is coach BJ and The DC constantly fail to control their emotions. Alot of yelling, whining, and fit throwing. If you are like that, you cant help but expect the kids to do the same. With that said I respect what they are doing. I think they went 3-7 in 2023, I hope they regroup and bounce back in 2024.

I have watched as many of these HS docs on sports as anyone. And will say, beyond a doubt, that the last ten minutes of this series has more visceral impact than the last ten years anything Hollywood has put out. Sensational filming of the climax, the dystopian music, the pain and horror of defeat was magnificent. Thanks, you guys are true artists, and my respect and awe for Coach Johnson and his brilliant staff is un-chartable.

Can’t wait for season 2 when will it come out

I cannot believe what I just saw. Today’s kids are “given” the entitlement they live with. When I was a kid…playing ball…”any kid” tell a coach “leave me alone” even one time woulda been his last time. After the game his uniform would have been gathered up and his “entitled” azz would have been sent packing…and he would not be allowed back on the team. Unbelievable how today’s kids think they are entitled to talk to their coach any way they want.

Great Stuff.... content was outstanding and the true realism of inner city kids dealing with multiple trials and situations that go far deeper than the football field was exact and on point. You placed us right in the middle of the success and failure, But through this DOC I enjoyed the constant urge for them to win it all. You hit every base in this one.
