Although 4.3' is not anywhere near record high water, there are a lot of river runners that will tell you when the flow at Boundary Creek is 4.25', Rubber is the worst than any other flow.

4.3 feet is not record levels. It's mid to high water flow. Ran the middle fork at 4.5 feet when launched. Have to say though 4.3 feet I bet was a really good time. 4.5 feet sure was.

@fergtv1 wrote, "Record High Water on the Middle Fork: This is my life and its awesome heres a little bit of what i do for a living." So, spewing parsimonious prevarication is what you do for a living? 4.2 ft? Record? Sadly, that's the kind of clap trap many of us have come to expect from lot's of commercial river guides.

Dude, just now seeing your response, wow, 4.2 was at launch, high water was a couple days later, go with good vibes or shut the heck up !!!

@@fergtv1 Dude, record highs on the Boundary Creek gauge are well over 13 feet. The Middle Fk has never gone from 4.2 feet to record flows in a couple of days. Furthermore, none of the footage in your clips show anything even close to 6 feet, which is where high flows are considered to just begin, so you are just spewing more commercial river guide codswallop. You don't have to lie to make a video of the Middle Fk worth watching, but maybe such braggadocios blather results in bigger tips. Telling the truth might not set you free, but at least you wouldn't look like a lying dumb-ass. Peace out and STFU.

If you haven't used a Poma, T-bar, or rope tow; you haven't been skiing. This is the essence of skiing--not Vail, Aspen, or the mega resorts. Long live Rotarun and others.

I learned to ski in Colorado with school outings. This brings back memories. Rotarun is the essence of skiing

In the 1950s my father and I as Boy Scouts helped to install the first rope tow at Rota Run. I believe the Rotary Club sponsored the Boy Scout Troop back in those days. I have digitized 8mm films of the area if you're ever interested in seeing them. In those days many of us still used bear claw bindings, wooden skis, and bamboo poles. Metal edged skis and safety bindings were just coming out in those days. No safety bindings yet LOL. If I remember right there was an old mining camp Called Democrat Gulch located there at one time. I'm happy to see it's still in full operation...

A bunch of folks from our group went up some years back when the level was just below 6'. These are very experienced boaters and not a single, flip, ejection, hang-up or wrap occurred. But they still played hell getting down the river. There were very few scouts because there were no eddies. The lack of eddies also made it rough in everyone catching a camp to where several good camps were bypassed because one or more couldn't catch the bank. It's always something.

Newsflash: 4.3 isn't record high water... Of course, if it's the highest you've run then I am wrong and it is a record for you... Can't stand mis-labeled videos and the people that feel the need to LIE!!!

If you can't respond nicely, go away.. 4.2 was at launch and record high was a couple days later...

Interesting looking elk...I've never seen such light fur on a cow like that. Many bulls tend to have a vanilla, almost beige color to them but that is very light. Where abouts did you spot these elk? I live in the Wood River Valley as well and I pick up their antlers every spring in spots where I have seen them wintering...never stressing them of course!
