i would mostly recommend applying to as many positions as you can! i applied to ~30 jobs in a variety of MA fields but i wasn't certified when i applied which i think made a big difference + i was honest about my PA application timeline which made some places not want to invest in my training for potentially only a year of work!

Not sure if you will see this being that this video is from 4 years ago but would you happen to remember if this is east or west , what floor and dorm # this is?

Thank you so much!! I see that you picked the left - Room A for both years, is there a reason? Is one side better than the other? Do you recommend east or west tower and what’s the best floor?? We’ve heard nightmares about the elevators 😅 Any tips you can share about Beaty would be very much appreciated!
@GabFriedman6 ай бұрын
@@grommiepie Honestly, I got randomly assigned Room A in my freshman year and just picked it again my sophomore year because the layout would be the same (same reason i did another 04 room so I could have the same view and orientation of the common area)
@GabFriedman6 ай бұрын
@@grommiepie I would say east or west are both great options! neither is better but i did have more experiences with roaches in west if that matters. I didn't have any issues with the elevators! there was always at least one working, i think maybe we had one down for like two weeks but nothing major and it was never both at the same time! only really an issue for fire drills since they close those during drills

What temperature is the room? And can you set the bed high enough to fit a desk under it?
@GabFriedman6 ай бұрын
not sure about the exact temperature since we didn't have control over it but i would assume 65-70? it was cold after awhile. my bed was the tallest height allowed of the beaty beds and i could not put a desk under it, but the rooms have one built in desk and there are two in the common area.

Omg I work for the same company, and I’m currently on the process for their education program where they pay your education. I’m so excited to start studying MA. Do you have any tips or advice? 😭
@GabFriedman6 ай бұрын
i didn't actually do the MA training program though work! i just self studied and then challenged the exam and i already had 2.5 years of previous clinical experience as a CNA so it wasn't that difficult! i'd recommend doing practice tests and seeing where you're at so you can efficiently study!

Do you have to be smart to be a medical assistant? ...is there alot of math & what kind of math was on the certification exam
@GabFriedman8 ай бұрын
The type of math depends on which exam you're taking and through where! I took the NHA CCMA exam and the only math I had to do were conversions (lb to kg, tbs to grams, etc.) but your exam will specify exactly what you need to know!
@GabFriedman8 ай бұрын
As for being smart, you need to be able to work whatever computer program that your future job will require and the actual exam requires that you remember a good bit of information (ex. medications and their use, injections, phlebotomy, ekgs, etc.)

@GabFriedman8 ай бұрын
i'm loving it!! depending on your program, you might not be at the boston health sciences campus like me as the main campus is in medford which is north of boston proper so it can feel less like you're in a city and more like a mix of city/suburb vibe. invest in a good down jacket if you don't have one already and removable layers (hats, scarves, gloves)! the city is beautiful and such a welcome change from FL!!

Hi , really appreciate the video a lot. I have a few questions if you do not mind . How high can the beds be raised in West Beaty? Can a small refrigerator fit underneath the bed if the bed is raised to the highest level? Do the bathrooms provide a curtain rod for the shower area? How many trash cans are available per student per room? Is a Trash can provided in the bathroom ? Is a trash can provided for the kitchen area? Does the oven come with inserts such as trays and or cookie sheets ? Thank you so much for your kind consideration.
@GabFriedman2 жыл бұрын
I actually have 2 move in videos that should answer a lot of these questions already! 2020: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gaS8Xqh9lt-ar7s + 2019: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nZ-1k6qki8SdhtU. As for the other questions, your bed can be lofted to the highest setting and you can put in an iService request to have maintenance do it so it's all set for you when you move in. I don't know the exact height measurement though because I never needed to fit anything under there like that but I do think a fridge could fit (I don't think you need a fridge though IMO the kitchen one worked fine for all 4 of us keeping our stuff in there but totally up to you). You need to supply your own pots, pans, utensils, etc. for the kitchen, they don't give you anything - the oven is standard with 2 racks I think, if I'm remembering correctly. No trash cans are provided in the bedrooms, only 1 trash 1 recycling in the kitchen and 1 trash in the bathroom. The bathrooms come with a curtain rod and a shower liner already so you just need to add a curtain to make it look nicer.

it def depends on the major! i actually got a new laptop in december after this was filmed because my big hunk of brick was literally 5lbs and the webcam didn't work all the time with zoom/honorlock so when i was looking i prioritized weight and having a webcam! a lot of classes don't support 2 in 1s for online exams so also keep that in mind.
