Just shows the mystique and star power Axl has that established people in the biz like Scott Ian and Jericho are pretty excited being in his presence.

Thursday,1:48 in San Diego California. Pretty cool interveiw. Im 61 yrs old. I remember when this album came out. Its one of my favorites. Jam the songs on my guitar all the time. Dont want to go there with the drugs and Scott and all but its just too bad sometimes, when things workout then they dont.

I always said it’s a real shame they never made a new album of new material - like completely new. That said the snakepit album is some of slash best playing and some great contribution from gilby. I think if that had been the next gnr album they would have just smashed it out of the park. Good to be alive and dime store rock are wicked! Go on Gilby! Superb songs The corvette story is brilliant - Duff tells it in his book. For years I wondered why he said that in the old VHS

Lou knows good vocal technique. He just does. What I wouldn't do to be taught half of what he knows and I'm a gigging singer. Axl used a pretended voice. He configured and altered his vocal timbre. Lou used his real voice.

I think when Beavan mentions "Doom" at around 56:00 he means Quake. Trent was a huge fan of Doom, but that soundtrack was basic videogame midi, the Quake soundtrack was one of the first Redbook audio OSTs and was famously credited to NIN.

I liked Gilby's Pawnshop Guitars but the Hangover album was awful and he's a terrible lyricist. Not a fan of his music.

Axl dropped the ball with Slash and Gilbey material. GNR could have put out a record in 1995 if Axl hadn't rejected everything. These songs could have been much better with Axl adding some lyrics and Duff's involvement. Add a few Axl songs like "This is Love" and you have the next GNR record. 1. Neither Can I 2. Beggars & Hangers-On 3. Good to Be Alive 4. Monkey Chow" 5. Lower 6. Back and Forth Again" 7. Cure Me of Kill ME 8. Tijuana Jail 9. Skin & Bones

Great to see Dave doing stuff and putting content out. Great player. Izzy’s living the life - floats in and out and prob has earned and earns enough from guns and just drops in and out when he feels like it. Awesome

No way Izzy was sticking around once Slash announced he wanted a lead singer. Sure enough Velvet Revolver would start having problems with their frontman. Izzy saw it coming from a mile away and wanted no bullshit.

You can like or not like Chinese Democracy but it ain’t Guns N’ Roses. It’s not even a version of GNR like the new band is. It was an Axl Rose solo project with an ever revolving cast of musicians. Having said that, I like Oh My God.

That’s cool that Gilby wrote those few snakepit songs. I didn’t care for that album back in the day but I like it now. Good hard rock and some of slash’s best dirty blues licks.

I can't believe this doesn't have more views. That guitar is absolutely legendary. The key to the whole Appetite sound was Izzy plugging that thing into a Mesa/Boogie amp. That right there was what glued everything together and the rest is history.
