I’ve so wanted to go on that tour, but it was closed due to the c-19 epidemic. Hopefully it is open again. This was super interesting. Poor mercury workers!

DC was for motor speed control for constant horsepower and directional control most likely. But I'm not a State Parks Interpreter.
@sum2automation4 жыл бұрын
I won't even comment on the State Parks " Interpreters". But I haven't met a one that wasn't truly nutt's and showing visitors what they don't know about the subject matter. I'll blame Democrats for destroying California also, lol. But I'm going to visit Bodie anyways one of these days. Thanks for the lesson and video!

Sounds great. Such clear stereo separation too, unlike for instance the Zoom H4N where the channels seem a bit more muddled together. I've been using a Zoom H4N for some years now every time I need stereo recordings. While it is perfectly servicable if high fidelity isn't your ultimate goal, it needs more amping than the D100, and as mentioned before, the stereo image isn't as clear. On a different note, I see that you only have 145 subscribers. Knowing how KZbin has changed their algorithms to make anyone with few subscribers harder to find in favour of already monetized channels and also giving top billing to clickbaity videos and thumbnails with higher click-through rates, I will subscribe to your channel so that you might one day get past 1,000, get monetized and more easy to find at random on KZbin. Most content providers on KZbin have fewer than 1,000 subscribers, but the best way to counter KZbin's attempt at hiding us is if all small channels stand together and lift each other up. Oh, and that was a lovely song well played. Keep up the good work.

Thanks for the great reply and kind words! And yes the stereo image is quite nice with the D100: I’ve always been impressed with the unit. I almost bought a Zoom but after checking out lots of reviews and in need of the best converters in a handheld unit I decided to try the Sony. But also: yes, it seems KZbin does make it difficult for small channels to gain exposure and have videos appear in certain search results...unfortunate, but thanks for subscribing!

Hi Beard...Video tip...try to not movie your camera quickly from point to point. The human eye can quickly compensate for rapid movement but a camera can't. An interesting video, just move your camera slowly when panning or moving.

Thomas Schmitz , I have no idea...maybe they were looking for David Lynch's "Mulholland Drive"? Maybe they don't like Los Angeles, or night time, or the moon?...maybe there wasn't enough "action" or a-list actors involved? I bet we will never know;)
