Good to hear from you again. So happy to hear that your grandson is doing well! Levi is an awesome big brother!! We were in the same place 10 years ago, but not dealing with full-time RVing. Infant grandson with serious health issue, aging parent, health issues of our own and when do I retire? Prayers and best wishes for all moving forward.

What should I do if my bed is completely enclosed against the wall? There's no way to put a bucket of damprid under my bed. There's not even anywhere to put it on the ends of my bed. But we are right next to the biggest window in the trailer so I will be pulling out the mattress tonight to see what surprises I have waiting for me behind the mattress. NOT FUN 😬

Sealing up that opening is a very good idea. While not necessaily wrong - it may have been a cleaner install to connect the wires from inside the junction box, directly to the new plug (there seems to be enough length), eliminating that flexible extension cord altogether.. This lessens the possibility of cutting off any strands when stripping the stranded wire in that flexible cable - which in turn limits the current it can conduct. As a bonus, you can reclaim that space for storing light items such as shoes, ect....

Holy crap, those factory tank restraints should be a class action lawsuit for safety on that model. I would remove the tanks during transit and secure them in the bed of the truck when moving the trailer. A horizontal tank restraint is really questionable when running down the road. Consider adding a vertical restraint that is connected to the H frame. That is where a lot of the seismic action happens when driving. The coach walls are not structural. I'm full time also but in a climate 2-3 and went to 40lb tanks as they are actually portable too. The 100lb tanks are great if there is someone who is willing to drive out and service them. The 100lb tanks are not really good for people who move sites or can't find reliable LP bulk service in the area.

Great advice Jerry So I don't know how cold you get out there, But I use a old heating pad on our tanks in the garage. If it gets in the mid teens I find the evap rate isn't enough for our BBQ , blackstone or the heater I use while im out there. I would imagine just wrapping them and keeping the extreme cold of the tank might work as well. Stay warm Guys. PS...love the strap idea

Hey Jerry, Wayne shared how things were going, and we enjoyed the video. I was wondering if you and Teresa had any issues with humidity in the snow and using the propane?
@HappyPlaceDiaries
@HappyPlaceDiaries 2 ай бұрын
Not really, we run a dehumidifier all year round and it keeps the moisture off the windows pretty well. Also, we don't get too much snow here, we get more ice. Would be nice to have double pane windows (now an option with the new Montana's). Thanks Sandy

Jerry some good tips there. We have found that staying in non freezing temps, using the electric fireplace and a space heater in the bedroom saves all kinds of LPG. I am not missing the thought of shoveling snow, now it is just look at the weather and go.

That would be nice. We do use a space heater and run the heater/fireplace when the temps are really not to bad. Chasing 70 would be the best plan, just can't break away from them Grandkids. Thanks Wayne

Very nice! We went with a Brinkley Z3400 and are regretting it. As soon as they fix all the broken stuff we are going to take the hit and change. I really like the Montana with the front office as well, but didn’t see that model at the PDX show.

They had one of the Front Office floor plans, but the way the 5th wheels were positioned this year it got blended in. It was right next to the big Cougar Midnight Edition. We heard a lot of people that were looking at Montana’s at the show express the same thing about their Brinkley’s. I’ll reserve comment on that. Thank you for watching, we really appreciate it.

@ Man I was right there checking out that Cougar. I have owned 2 Cougars. But we are going to be most timing it and need to raise the bar a bit. If anyone wants a large fifth wheel for full timing, this is pretty much a perfect layout. And it has a lot of things built in that most people have to buy extra. So much storage there’s no more need for a toy hauler if all you’re taking is bikes. They’ve pretty much thought of everything on this.
