You should consider spitting your snorkel out before you descend. It causes less noise to spook fish on the descent. AND it's a safety issue regarding shallow water blackout. Your mouth and esophagus automatically close if you blackout, but with the snorkel in your mouth water will intrude to your lungs. Great spearing! Safe diving!

Hey Cayden - I am only ever in the Bahamas during Nassau grouper season. All videos were filmed between June and August from the years 2020-2024. Old videos...just getting around to posting them. Thanks for watching man!! ; )

For info: Closed season: The Nassau grouper season is closed from December 1 to February 28 each year. During this time, it is illegal to take, land, process, sell, or offer for sale any Nassau grouper. Marine Protected Areas: MPAs are areas where the Nassau grouper and other species are protected. Fisheries regulations: Fisheries regulations prohibit the taking, purchase, or sale of immature Nassau groupers that weigh less than 3 lbs. The Nassau grouper is a critically endangered species. Overfishing is one of the biggest threats to the species.
