ahhh im back. working smoothly until orbx central randomly has started to pop up with messages saying "it appears that your scenery.cfg is corrupt or missing. you may need to launch or reinstall the sim to regenerate it"

I tried to open the menu in the sim but it just loads for a while and then "GSX menu loading failed", "May work in a while" but never does... Also does the Couatl have to always constantly run even when now using the sim? Thanks!

I'm just looking for an addon that gives me photorealistic alps when I fly over switzerland at cruising altitude. Is there a good and cheaper alternative for that ? I did not find one except Mega Scenery Earth but that doesnt really seem to look that good from the colours... Im not sure. I dont want to spend like 100 quit just to fly over it.

Three options. Make it yourself for free following my vids. Buy from a site called FSScenery or buy the AustriaHD off Sim Market. Those will give you what you want.

@ I only found a Japanese site when looking for fssecenery. Using that orthoxp stuff for free is too complicated for me and too much space consuming. I’ve tried that a few years ago. Also, it lets my sim crash very easily. I’ve now just bought mega scenery Switzerland right from their website for 11$ and I’m totally fine with it since I just regularly fly over Switzerland at cruising altitude. For that it’s totally fine. But I will look at Austria HD aswell. Thanks for your help :)

the video wasnt made to show all the default planes, you can find that info on the P3D website, this just shows the default SCENARIO airplane and airport. Known as the default airplane and default airport.

I was confused about why the double one resulted in an instant death as I wasn't sure you were on your last two points of stamina, but then I watched the start of the video and learned the custom rules. Good ideas! Although instead of insta-death, maybe cut hit points in twain or something? See you in a fortnight.

Hi, I purchased this airport (VHHH). But now the jetways will not come out. I have GSX. I am using the PMDG 777 300 ER. I set the plane to jetway. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

make sure you have the proper files in the 2 SODE locations to link the jetways. Some airports come with options to manually place a bgl file in that has jetways or not as well.

The rectangular icon below the tabs on the checklist is to increase/decrease the alpha channel and therefore the transparency. Use the mouse wheel to increase/decrease. This will only apply to the checklist.

Hi Adam, since I Bought V6 a year ago, I did!t touch v5 despite of the challenges. I had to modify a couple of airports to make it usable in v6 but lot of them works perfectly without mods. I really appreciate for your V6 videos especially this one. Just wanted to mention if I use ORBX stuff ( global, openlc ,trees, hdbuildings) I get almost double fps over default textures

@AdamJPestridge I!m using the v4 version via ORBX central. There are some compatibility problem with the trees and the buildigs pack . I plan to buy v6 versoin unfortunatelly they didnt update trees an buildigs so far. I have p3d v6 channel on youtube and I uploaded some p3d v6 flights. use the GSX updater after installing any FSDT airport to give GSX the functionality for that airport. Also, make sure you had activated all of their addons within the sim.

@@AdamJPestridgeit has been activated. I did update with the universal installer. But, did not have a chance to test it. But, gsx was working fine literally the day previous, now cuoatl scripter will not load in on simulation startup, rendering it unusable at ALL airports, including fsdt ones. Just joined your discord, I will post screens tomorrow if the problem continues

Thanks for posting this video. However I tried everything above and I ran a repair on both and neither one recreated the terrain.dll file. So I had to put the old one back in to get the sim to load again. Is there anything I missed as how to recreate that file?

Nice review Adam, ran my sim side-by-side w your video switching back-n-fwd, cockpit sounds don't seem significantly different really? but the engine drone certainly more pleasant to listen to and sounds more analogue kinda to my ear which is pleasing. think I will grab this !

The advantage to buy it on the Microsoft store is you can play it on the pc as well as the xbox this good for family’s where kids can play it on Xbox as well. The reason to use a vpn is when they has server issues , you can connect to the server that was fixes. No need for a vpn now

@ I have a Xbox and pc, I can play it on both, not if you got it from steam. That’s an advantage for some. You can change the servers from within msfs2024
