Wait a minute. If I am anchored and well balanced into my leg and get in 2 point, wouldn't I want to be slightly forward (cz I'm closing hip angle) as not to be behind the motion or vertical? I'm only completely vertical/ upright in a seated driving position. I rarely get left behind or jump ahead of my horse anymore (since riding more 2 point). Maybe there are varying degrees of forward? Consider the difference in style of hunters vs jumpers, too. Thx for feedback. Tim Trihey. Christina Fischer. Let's discuss and learn and not hate plz.

body forward heels down is possibly the worst instruction a rider can get - horses ending running away with the rider hanging on the horses head - Geroge is the most successful bad instructor - its pretty amazing really

Why you gotta hate???? Move along...

because that canary song of body forward heels down carries all the way to Aus and get people hurt, and ruins riders - it pretty amazing really

disagree because all of his students are VERY successful :)

Tim Trihey I think he was trying to to tell the riders what not to do

Tim Trihey As the mother who took this video and have attended 2 Anne Kursinski Clinic, the both position he is describing is so that the rider goes with the motion of the horse and keeps the horse in front of the leg. When jumping, it creates a fluid movement. It's unfortunate you do not respect the talent of GM. He is an extremely accomplished rider as is Anne Kursinski who was his protege.

everyone is riding with spurs, is spurs really necessary?
@emilymcthompson74118 жыл бұрын
Yes. Spurs, a black stick, and a loose running martingales are mandatory dress code for GHM clinic.

knittingkitten depends on the horse. some horses don't respond to leg without spurs so it can be necessary if you don't have time to train your horse

+Erica Boling I ride in a CWD, not quite sure what exact model but I think it's an older 2Gs. Sorry it took me so long to reply! Hope you are having success saddle shopping though :)
