That's not legal though . I had a similar issue as a teen , I snuck a guy into my room through the window and got caught and I decided to have balls and refuse to make him leave and he refused to leave as well which my mom called the police . The police told my mom by law even if I wasn't a minor I live there , received mail for a minimum of 7 days and have the right to invite anyone in .

There’s more way to deal with people in your house than to put up with it. She knew she broke her phone , she was being ridiculous arguing with the girl. Her son had her there and she took it out on the weaker sex.

@@JackieCollins-s6o a lot of people go on for the acting credits. Most are struggling actors needing an actual working credit for their resume. Judge Judy show sucks, but it is better than a blank resume. If you watch enough tv you may have seen some of these litigants in things like margarine commercials, insurance commercials, or as victims in a crime drama if they are lucky. That guest actor on that sitcom you watched last night seem vaguely familiar but you can't place them. Try thinking back to episodes of judge Judy and you might be surprised.

Well that's the point of being served prior to court, so you have the opportunity to get evidence, dates, etc in order

Watched a documentary on the show. The show is legally binding as she is an arbitration judge. The litigants sign papers agreeing to her verdict. There are several lawyers in the back as well. Its not scripted..just a little different than regular court one would normally go to.

@melaniefolsom1229 and the show pays for any verdict, which is still cheaper than an actual sitcom or drama. The show is mostly scripted, and Judy demands a bunch of one liners which she really isn't good at delivering. It might not be so bad if she weren't so hideous looking, but that isn't good when she isn't a very good actress either. I wouldn't trust too much of a documentary either.

Judge Judy is a retired judge. She was a lawyer for quite a few years. She was a judge from 1982-1996. She retired in 1996 to do Judge Judy. I have friends that went on Judge Judy. It is NOT scripted. If she was sweet and nice nobody would watch the show. Obviously ALOT of people do. Her net worth is over 450 million.
