Purchased one of these brand new around 03 and preceded to record a successful album called 'Angels Calling' with it. Today we have five of these in our studio and are still recording new tracks with the BR-1180. Seriously the best kept secret in digital recording. 🤘

Great concise explanation that opens up necessary possibilities for me as I work with my Yamaha MG12XU mixer. Gave me the necessary work-around for my keyboardist - thanks, David!

When I link bus 1 and 2 it doesn't appear that the faders follow? I assume they are linked but I'm used to seeing the faders follow, for example when I turn up channel 1 on bus 1 I would expect channel 1 to follow on bus 2, etc.

Great explanation! I have been trying to understand this and how to use stereo effects and here it kind of fell into place. Only thing I don’t understand is if you have a stereo outboard synths plugged in to two channels and hard pan them for stereo will that work properly when sending both those channels out the Aux and then back in to stereo return?

What a shame there are no responses to these two intuitive questions arising from "working with folders". Not even from the creator of the video.

I hope you see this. You explained that process more clearly in 3 minutes than 3 guys could in almost an hour!!! And their way never worked for me. I have a full rack of effects, but it's the same basic principle. Now I can finally move on. I wish I had found your video first. THANK YOU SIR.

I work with My Church office and sometimes the Media team may be late to set Up, so because I will be there I was shown how to power the Amplifier and mixer for weekly Services. I however face so much challenges because our sound man is not really a Music person. He is A vast Electrician. He is not good with teaching, how to manage the sound Mixer "Midas M32" I need help. 4:04

I purposely downgraded my old Zoom recorder (from the H6) to the H4n Pro to be able to record raw vocals alongside a pre-recorded scratch track (WAV files exported from Ableton Live). I use a walk-in closet that is dead acoustically - perfect for vocals. I can't seem to figure out how to load a prerecorded track in MTR mode. I have placed the scratch track in multiple locations in the Folder structure and can't load any of them (though I can see them in File view-all named short, all-caps titles). I am unable to find a single video that explains it. Maybe there is a specific file-naming convention you need to adhere to? This is driving me insane!

Thanks for the video. Just letting you know, your endscreen covers up the sink video pretty well, just as it begins (for me at least.) That can be adjusted in location and timing in KZbin Studio. Although the spoken word is sufficient, you filmed that nice video, people shouldn’t see it through a grid! Thanks :)

Great video, but I feel it's incomplete. Yes ground loops happen, and can be solved as per your video. But what's REALLY happening? What specifically a hum? Why not a buzz? Or sometimes both? What's causing a sawtooth like wave to form and not a sine wave? Did it start as a sine wave then get cancelled and sort of turned into a triangle/saw? That's what I'd like to know. Thanks for the video. I feel it's half way there to the complete answer. I'll check out your course.

@joseramon2724

I think I've found a problem with the capacitive keyboard. When the unit is connected to any external amplifier I've used via LINE OUT I get noise without audio. Moving my hand closer I found that this interference increases even when trying it in a different room to rule out any other interference. I don't get any interference from the headphone output. Has anyone had this problem?

Does anybody know ho to use the metronome in a song?, like ive always rdcorded my rythym guitar first and then my drums which seems weird i guess but i used an old fostex and it was so simple to use the metronome and this boss br900 metronome seems very hard to activate to do a simple click. Do i have to set up a drum part to play with the metronome??? Why not just simply activate the click for a new song?
