There is good reason why track width can not be mod plated. Consider this, the tyre becomes a bigger lever on the standard suspension components. While shear stress may remain the same or similar at components eg wheel bearing flange bending stresses will dramatically increases, after all it is still a form of supported beam. How far do you want to reduce the fatigue factor of safety due to cyclic strees? Do you want a stub axle to break and loose a wheel?

I was scared hearing 12:1, then heard 24psi 😟, but I ran turbos pre E85 era. My full compression 11:1 Kawasaki ZX11 was considered stupid, even when intercooled and water injected. 349whp on 1052cc.

I kept it on stock cams for the turbo setup since they're better suited, if you built this motor the same way for n/a you'd definitely want big cams, and it should do 200+whp range. As-is it would probably do 170ish

I don't have exact numbers for 0-100mph but the 1/8 mile is 7.2 @ 105mph, so ~mid 6 second 0-100mph, but only on the drag radial setup. On the street tires maybe 8 seconds since traction is an issue

There are cars engineered from the ground up to run 500HP, the MX-5 is not one of them.

If u get an engineers certificate all is good . Standard registration canbe achieved to the widest factory option from any example thats available world wide plus the Road transport variation . Your suffering the same situation as 4x4 with increased height raise 50mm ok ,,, raise 50--75??? blue plate ,, over this requires engineering mod certificate Yet I can buy 4-5-6 inch raise kits Oh yea there are slight state variations but its not legal to do that , need to hire a lawyer
