Incorrect starting procedure should be run with full compression on and throttle SHUT and after a suitable warm up time THEN OPEN the throttle to admit fuel to the cyclinders will start clean every time THEN no need to flood the cyclinders with fuel first only ones in necessary wear

That is a gorgeous Northwest Model 6, beautifully restored by Mr. Dave Pickhardt, seen standing on the catwalk, while Mr. Willie Tedesco runs the machine like the master he is. Love the sound of that Murphy Diesel. Turn it up when watching!!

I assume the vertical cylinder is the boiler. Seems to me there is very little clearance between the road and the bottom of the boiler. Going over a small bump could result in destroying the boiler and scalding the rider. Very impressive though.

Don't walk under those Belts! They have more power held in them than anything else! If the belt where to slip off the flywheel when the load is put under it, you could have easily been hit and decapitated or worse... Don't ever do that.
