I live next door to this room now! The layout is completely different now. Also, first-year housing is so luxurious compared to Cohan…

Ridiculously overpriced, unethical school. Massive minority overseas population because very few Americans can afford it. Only rich "corrupt money", pretentious Chinese and other Asians need to apply and other rich, family connected white students. Utterly corrupt school. Students are mostly NOT collaborative, they are competitive and only fake it.

Hi thanks for this amazing video! I'm a parent of a senior in high school and we are currently considering Amherst. I have a question regarding social life - will there be things to do at night for kids who are not necessarily into going out at night to party? My kid is more mellow and laid back and will go out and hang with friends but not several times a week, and bars are really not her thing. She is a little concerned about being alone a lot. Any insights you can share will be greatly appreciated!

Hi! There are things to do for sure- there are campus groups that host movie nights and other non-party events and we have a lot of performance groups (acapella, dance, improv) that do shows as well! The party scene is definitely more laid back than at a lot of schools as well; students go out on the weekends, but the bar scene isn't huge. Personally, I found that a mix of going out and staying in with friends for a chill night was perfect for me. Hope this helps!

Sure that international student can apply for financial aid

You'll get none. Amherst only wants rich foreigners so they can fleece you of money. A token foreigner, or poor person, will get something. And even then, it's ruinously expensive.

You remind me of myself in my 20s, I'll save you a lot of time and pain…find out and experience what it means to be "born again" - repent, baptized, receive Holy Spirit. If you have never heard this before it is like trying to explain to a fish what air is...if someone told me this 4 years ago I would of dismissed you immediately and told you you’re crazy. No one ever told me about this I had to find this for myself at 35....I don't know why more people don't know about this or why no one ever shared this with me...Jesus did say most people are spiritually blind and lost and are not going to make it to Heaven. How can someone be born again...and why should you even care about this? Well if you are like me and most people you go through life and chase after things in the world to find peace/love/joy but it never lasts. You experience that gnawing loneliness and emptiness, and try desperately to fill it with things like food/clothes/money/social media...I experienced this for so long in my 20-30s and hit rock bottom at 35...I said God if you’re real you better show up because I've lived this life and if this is all there is then that would be very depressing....in that moment of humility and reaching out God decided to reveal Himself to me. Why God chose to save me is still a mystery...there are so many people that are morally better than me that I know. Maybe someone was praying for me I don't know. But this is the truth you can experience it for yourself when you are born again it is a supernatural change and you become more like Jesus and live a holy life. There are many spiritually dead religions/churches/people out there, and they misrepresent God and who He is. God wants to go through this journey together with you so you don’t have to do it alone. But you have to be willing to “give Jesus the wheel” and allow Him to live through you to do His will in your life and not your own…You have free will and God won't force you to do anything, but you have to be responsible for your actions both good and bad. Most people don't want to face the harsh truth that God is a holy judge and will judge the world one day. Most people think they are good people, but that definition of good is relative and no one can hold up to Gods standards(10 commandments). Most people don't want the truth and would rather exchange the truth for a lie and chase after things in this world to find fulfillment...This is a hard truth to share and hard for many to hear, but God doesn't want to judge/condemn people He made a way out by becoming a man(Jesus Christ) and paid the fine for every time we missed the mark in life and messed up. But we have to be willing to admit our mistakes and meet God halfway at the cross and acknowledge what He did for us on the cross and place our faith in Him...instead of trusting in our goodness or righteousness for forgiveness and salvation. God humbled Himself by becoming a man, and doing things He didn't want to do...and God doesn't want any prideful people that aren't willing to reciprocate that humility....God bless. kzbin.info/www/bejne/q4vHp2CKqc6Aock

Only dullards go to this school. All you have to do is be completely obedient and good at memorization. No real intelligence, critical thinking or creative thinking is needs. So do this and have rich parents. Thats it. Bingo!

Hi! We have a pretty great and well funded Theater and Dance department. There are also a few extracurricular groups that write/direct/put on performances, like the Green Room club! The school is definitely small, so if you aren't sure if you want to go to a small school, I would keep that in mind! The surrounding college town is the quintessential New England town- there are definitely a lot of amazing restaurants and nice places to do work :)
