Indie music was blooming so strongly around 2010. I played Well Known Pleasures constantly back then. I just randomly remembered Vega/Neon Indian and I checked discogs to see if they had released anything new and I learned they just officially split, but basically after over covid. What a sad discovery. I have so many great memories bound to their music

The song sample is “It’s Just The Way I Feel”, and it was also sampled in The Disko Starz’s 2 tracks. “Smooth Love” and “It Feels So Real”. Another artist who sampled the original song is AnTgry, in “So Real”. THE ORIGINAL IS ALSO REALLY GOOD TOO! ☺️

Wow, first heard this on a Mark Farina mix from 2000 where it was mixed with "What You Gonna Do Baby" by Funk Legacy, totally did not expect it to be a Buffalo Bunch remix! Felt very ashamed of myself when I discovered the ID because it does sound 100% like The Buffalo Bunch (the bass, the drum pattern and the filtering) and I thought I knew everything made by Paul and Romain. Such a feel good track either way!

I saw to Alan Palomo in México City in 2009, he throwed up his new project Neon Indian and still blowing my mind all his songs. Hope he's still working on music like this
