My spur gear shreds 5-8 mins into using it. So sick of this car… have bought a metal one to see if that works better.

Cheers A Great video. I've noticed that when my shock oil level is just right it's almost flush with the top when I compress the shaft after the air is all gone. Bloody good video, lots of good info. Cheers mate

Quite bad instructions...🥶 Way too stiff oil, too much of it because piston is out when filled, should not rebound, even the lighting is poor. Zero points.

Hello, I understand that if the piston does not enter inside it is due to excess oil and that you have to remove a little and so I have done, but when I put it inside the piston does not come out, what will be the cause?, it has been days and I cannot solve it, I will appreciate your comments, Thank you.

without spring installed, shock shaft ideally should not rebound much, which is it is designed for. It only rebound just a little bit due to a small air chamber on shock top.
@baldurivar10 ай бұрын
I thought all shocks that have a bladder are supposed to rebound? Only the shocks that don’t have the rubber bladder do not?

Sorry to be a pain mate, couple of quick question for you if you could please give me any help would be really appreciated. Just taken my wheels off and there is no washer behind the hex bolts at all, just the bearing with the pin making contact directly with the bearing? Is this normal? Second how the hell do you get the server out, tried and couldn't do it, released servo and unscrewed but couldn't remove it??? Cheers.

This is totally wrong the spring should be staying compressed once you push them you have put too much oil. you have to screw the cap when the spring is compressed.
@baldurivar10 ай бұрын
There is no spring, do you mean the shock needs to be compressed.
@sub_a_roues Жыл бұрын
Hi. Nice shocks. I like the 4mm shaft. Perfect for 1/10 monster cause springs are too strong for crawlers. First I'll try ~850 CST (will see later) ... Holes in pistons are really big so ya maybe 5k are too fluid ...

@mikechu79592 жыл бұрын
This video is incorrect. You have to tighten the cap when the shock it's fully compressed. The reason why, you can't fully compressed the shock, is because, you have air in your shocks.
@Neelis23 Жыл бұрын
Problem in this video is the thickness of the oil, the oil is so thick it can pass the holes in the piston and now the damper act like a spring. Bit of air in the shocks is ok, air is compressible, oil not. The damper has to slow down and control the movements of the spring.
@cg339910 ай бұрын
Yeah oil is not going to keep it from going all the way in air has much more pressure pushing against the damper than oil. This will not allow the car to ride or land as smooth as it should

I spoke all the plastic parts in WD40 and leave them in the Sun for the better part of a Day. It hydrates the plastic and/or rubber and stops them drying out and becoming brittle. It works great on the Tire too, softens them up and helps greatly with grip. I use Agricultural Grease on the outside of my Diff's. Until now, I've usually locked the Diff's with Silicone Earplugs but I think I'll run the Quantum flux+ I've ordered on oil for a bit and see how it runs. Great movie mate, I found it helpful. You and your Family have Merry Christmas, Mate. 👍🏻

In all the instructions I’ve seen you’re told to fill the oil to the point where you put the cap on and expect overflow, which would indicate a fully filled cylinder, would it not?
