I will say the same thing, similar story, but for me, my escape from the anxiety and stress was flying FPV drones, my need to feel like I was flying has always been a dream of mine, but as I got older, it got harder to figure out how to do it, I still love FPV, and Filming, But.... The FEELING of flying was needed in my life, I saw a video of someone flying down the road on an EUC. Needless to say, I had to check it out... Then after I hurt myself, and then finally learned.... YES, it changed, my life, it became part of me, and now I put my arms back and fly, no sound, just moving above the ground... It's amazing, and for those short moments, I am flying... Nothing else matters. Keep riding brother.

Amen to that. 🙌 100% agree. As an activity it ticks all boxes. Gives me an "actual" "real life" physical threat to focus and recalibrate my fear response, calming my anxiety. It gives me a sense of accomplishment, which boost my confidence and self-esteem when I master a new skill. It's connected me with new people, drawing me out of isolation. It's gotten me up off the couch and out in the world again, I've lost weight, gained muscles I didn't even know I had and increased flexibility and dexterity. It's better than any antidepressant pill I've tried, while having so many additional health benefits.

No no no you need pads. Just have them up alottle high at first so your foot gets on and off easier. When pads on your foot always is about in the right spot. Plus falling pads will protect the wheel. Plus if you get popped up off the pedals, we'll you don't with pads.

I agree wholeheartedly, and applaud you for summing it up so perfectly. This has been my experience almost exactly the same way with electric skateboarding.

Awesome video, I strongly agree with everything. Gonna add my 2 cents as well. The way depression works for me is I get a bad mood, and then have sort of negative thoughts that start spinning ever faster in a downwards spiral. It is hell. My solution was alcohol poisoning, a sort of shock to the system that would reset things, or just made me so uncomfortable it would change my focus. Now euc, oh man, just riding it requires you to constantly pay attention, to be there in the moment, with no thoughts, you just ride and feel and it is a feeling of freedom and enjoyment. So when I feel off, I just take my wheel and ride and life in general became so much better for it.
