Never been to this location but I miss Brookstone. I never bought anything there which is probably the problem and why they closed down everywhere lol, but after a long shift, I would go into a Brookstone and use the massage chairs and they were amazing. If they weren't so expensive, I would have bought one.

My best friend and I saw Mammoth in Edmonton this last August. WVH blew our minds with his playing. We were in the Snake Pit and would literally look at each other after every tune they played with that blown away look on our faces. In sick fate, turned out that Mammoth was his third last band he'd see in his life. Pantera second last. And half a show of Metallica. RIP bro.

My guess as to why Green Day is on this is because they headlined another DWP Festival called Louder Than Life two years ago and I would imagine that there's contractual obligations to play on most of the other festivals they run if an artist plays on one.

As much as I love SeaWorld and Busch Gardens...it is time they hang up the Mardi Gras run at BOTH PARKS. They can't compete where they don't compare. We did Mardi Gras at SeaWorld in '22 and it sucked. We showed up ready to party and there was no party or acknowledgement of what we were talking about when we asked the park ambassadors. The food has gone down and that disgusting 5% surcharge is still there. Still a pass holder, gonna stay that way as long as I keep paying $20 for both parks for 2 people.
@ViewFromTheCheapSeatsКүн бұрын
It is ridiculous that they have the surcharge still. Like you, we've still kept our passes bc it is so cheap, but I always think that maybe they'd be in a better space if they charged more to make more money.

I used to live on Amos Drive in Riverview, Florida, it's literally a little dead end road right across the street from the Show Mans deal where you are at there. It is in Riverview, off Riverview Drive, but the actual 'carny town', which is called Gibsonton, aka Gibtown, is right across the Alafia river where you are now. Went there for first time in about 1999, at which it then still had a ton of circus and carnival equipment, rides and workers, as there's many circus and carnival shows that used to/still do have Gibsonton, Fl as their winter quarters. Since then many things have changed and removed, like the Giant's Camp restaurant right there by the river. It is also the only post office in the US which has a counter short enough to service little people, midgets back then. It was always a weird town, where many weird people would end up in the winter. Brings back memories, ty guys!

We have filed the lawsuit because there’s an agreement saying that land must be returned to back what it was which was a field and grass and there was a sticky’s restaurant that was right off the exit. We think we’re gonna prevail on this and all of that will be demolished and gone. We’re gonna bring cows back to that area.

I actually heard that Malls are making a comeback. But it's definitely not like it used to be. I think since Covid then the economy tanking, really dealt a second blow. Malls will always be around in some capacity.

Sad to see this one go. It's a better building than Altamonte Mall (and doesn't reek of rancid popcorn fake butter). Online didn't kill the malls. The over-retailing killed malls. Also the large department stores keep shooting themselves in the foot. Sears' mismanagement is legendary. JC Pennys then tried copying Sears, bringing in appliances and tools. Macy's bought up the remnants of Burdines/Maas Brothers and ran them into the ground. The Burdines palm trees are still outside many FL Macy's locations. And really, when was the last time you bought something in one of the traditional department stores? They have stock which people don't want and prices people don't want to pay.

At the 3:28 point of this video is the building where singer Alicia Keys grew up in and was living there when she got her first music contract at age 16. Her first album came out in 2001 when she was 21 a few months before the 9/11 attacks. More on this area in my comment below this one.

The building situated at the southeast corner of West 42 and 10 Avenue across the street from the Yotel Hotel is where Alicia Keys grew up. I saw her when she was a teenager there and remember her face even though she was not famous yet. This is in the neighborhood of Hells Kitchen. I worked across from her when I worked at MTV music studios. The Yotel Hotel is in the exact grounds where MTV used to be in the 1990s. The building was then called National Video Center. I saw many celebrities come and go there. Great memories!!!

I feel like over the years you will see more and more malls closing. Mall culture is dead. I always loved going to the mall but I agree with what you said, i'm doing my shopping online now.. It seems like they have a better selection online ( my opinion). Take Sears for an example, filed for bankrupt in 2018 and to this day you can shop on there.

Rock Stop has a location in the Altamonte mall still. I met the owner, he’s a pretty cool guy. Bought a Lamb of God shirt from him. From what he says, they’re legit shirts.
@jerminator06884 күн бұрын
Altamonte mall has always been the mall I’ve frequented my entire life. It’s definitely seen a bit of a decline as well, but for the most part gets a good amount of foot traffic, especially during peak seasons. Only been to Seminole a few times, but I do remember sitting in that food court getting a bite to eat and visiting the Hudson’s game store in the corner there. Sad to see the mall go, but hopefully something cool replaces it in the property and not just some new apartments or something. Lol
