Honestly I don’t know why I don’t love this palette. I wear lots of bold looks. I wear colorful looks. I wear neutral looks. I wear light looks, shear looks, opaque looks, all shimmer looks, all matte looks. I honestly do it all. I own almost all adepts palette minus, La cienega, legend of Ardra, and cyborg choir(soon I will tho!). This flying fiddles palette I just cannot get on with? Idk why. It’s sparkly enough? I actually like the mattes too. I mean they are fine enough? I’m not picky. I think what I don’t love is the mattes color choices and shimmer color choices together. Upon first glance I would have thought “wow that’s a nice and interesting neutral color story” but once you have it, it just doesn’t flow well especially as a neutral color story because of the color choices put together. There’s something about it that I just don’t like and I thought I was the only one to feel that way lol. Anyway, idk if you gave up on adept or not after this, but if you havent and you want to try one of the BEST adept palettes grab the heather Austin adept collab before it’s gone. They brought it back for a time and I saw it still in stock. It is my all time hands down most iconic palette in my collection. I love everything about it. I think it might be more up your alley than this one was.

Carrie, your story made my day! I found it so hilarious but I think it’s because of the way you’re telling the story. My son has to be in school for 8:40 too and I don’t like being late too. So, mornings can be stressful and all rushed sometimes but to avoid this I do wake my son up at 7:30 as he likes to take his sweet time. Your look is no way near messy! It looks full blown glam and I love it. You look so beautiful.

Whew~ I lost my Mom about 2 1/2 yrs ago and I have “inherited” doing all the cooking, cleaning & household chores. My Dad just turned 70 y.o. and he STAYS on my nerves! The dynamic has shifted for sure.

This palette ruled back in the day. It still doesn’t have much competition imo. I have it (what’s left of it) and the two palettes they released right after it. I’m not a fan of their more recent color stories.

This is very nice, really glad to hear you are liking the SG shadows. They are my tried and true. But really nice fall look.

Mountain Trail was originaally a bundle that was super popular & always sold out. I think it came out around the same time as Gemini did when swampy greens were first getting popular. Anyway, a couple years back it was released as this 9 pan. It's definitely a good Fall green palette. I really like SD's 9 pans, bundles & singles. I kind of make my own palettes tbh since I have so many singles & the palettes are magnetic with removable pans. I have a few of the powder blushes & they are nice but I couldn't get the exact color I wanted. I usually prefer a peachy pink coral shade that is kind of bright & all the blushes were very brown-neutral. I absolutely love the powder highlighters tho. So good & only $9. SG also has liquid eyeshadows that are nice & cream blushes/bronzers that are good (again it was a color thing not a quality thing. That's the problem with ordering online & not having swatches. It's easy to find swatches of SG eyeshadow but not anything else) I didn't get anything during the Xmas In July Sale because I already have evrything I want from SG. My current favorite eyeshadow formula. Never irritates my eyes & always delivers a good eye look.

Lol, I wrote an entire paragraph in the comment section, but somehow it stuck on a totally different channel that had nothing to do with this subject! 😬 This is one of the few palettes that I've ever almost totally panned. I only tossed it a few months ago. I want to buy it again, but will I reach for it as much as I used to with all the palettes I have? I still want it though. It was my first expensive palette I ever bought.

How have i not heard of this trend? The bronzer side looks a little closer to your skin tone, and the other side is a little lighter. Both look good. Like you said, the bronzer side is an extra step. I have never tried this. I think I'm so pale that it would not look good on me 😂

Keto bread 😂😂😂😂 I like the Pat McGrath side better only without the bronzer. I think her concealer matches your skin better. I don’t see the point of the bronzer. It’s actually more work because then you have to cover it up. 🥰

The one side looks closer to your skin and the other side is a little lighter. I like both. I am very light and have the deep blue but I actually use a light peach eye brightener with my concealer and it works to cover the blue. Because of my skin tone there is no way a bronzer would work on me.
