I always wondered and this includes any forms using such swords as seen here: what happens if they were given or had to use an actual Jian sword of proper weight? Sharpened or not even I'll leave that up for debate as I have a demo Korean jingum and it feels quite heavy at just over 1 kg.

I remember performing similar routine when I was 10-14 y.o. Nice moves but wushu was so boring to me no matter of the results (top10 Jianshu in Russia)
