Yeah it's a welded diff, it works fine with track use compaired to open diff, ofcourse sometimes there are little moments where it introduces sudden over/understeer, but you'll get used to it after while and can predict it. It weights about 1450kg with full tank of fuel and with no driver, its manageable amount, it's around same weight as typical E46 build. I like it, i love E39 chassis!

@@JaxKiBez Cool! Thanks for aswering! So, 1450kg also with the interior completely stripped and stock exhaust? Sorry for asking so much, I also have a 528i which is now unused with some modifications and I like it, is fun to drive. It would be nice to have a video with a walkaround of your e39 explaining mods etc. :)

@@J.Domingo1 Interior stripped fully from the back of front seats, front carpets and dash is still original. Exhaust is half stock, manifolds are catless longtube version and backbox has been replaced with flowthrough muffler. I might film some walkaround someday, i'm just camerashy. 😁

En tiedä kuinka helposti sopii E46 hammastanko kolmeysiin, veikkaan että aika kapea vitosen koriin, kiinnitys ainakin täysin erilainen kun joskus tutkin. Toisaalta nykyään pitävillä renkailla kun ajaa niin itse en huomaa varsinaisesti että ohjaus olisi hidas, varmaan liian tottunut. 😂

Thanks! Car is quite easy and predictable to drive, that gives me confidence to really push the limits. E39 is quite good chassis for track because its light for its size, almost same as E46 and facelift-diesel/V8 front brakes are easy and cheap brake upgrade and you can use very wide tires, my slicks are 275/35R18 with original rolled fenders and still have room for wider.

DISA is already mapped to be open all the way, so no more gain there. Next upgrades would be M54B30 intake camshaft and intake manifold, that would give extra hp in the top end.

Thank you! It's not stock, it has a cat-back exhaust branded "Top Gear" from topgear.co.uk. Clip at 0:49 onwards is only headers and cats in place. This clip is filmed when i took of whole exhaust for maintenance.

Tuotakin katsoin, mutta oli prefacelift ja orkkisvanteilla niin päädyin tähän. Latasin varmaan jonkun 8 eri modia mistä sit valkkasin omaan silmää parhaimman mikä muistuttaa omaa autoa. Modelia en osaa itse vielä muokata, muuten varmaan tekis vielä paremmin. 😁

19" Alpina Replica's (BK273)

It was my first time with FWD car in the Ring, i have driven many laps with RWD cars, so bit hard to compaire to anything else, but still it was so much fun, car likes to turn well and brakes are good. I can fully recommend!

Good stuff. My dilemma is between this and the RingToys Megane. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a video with it. I guess I could check them out in person and decide.

​@@glidertastic5778 I looked RingToys website, and with quick look they seem to have same type of modifications with GDL Megane, but RingToys is cheaper and there is optional insurance to cover barrier damages etc. Or if possible, test both 😁

I ended up renting from RingToys. It was not a bad choice I have to say. Nankang AR-1 tyres work great with the KW Clubsport. I have never experienced a car that feels like a gokart. I am completely hooked 😀

E20 doesn't require any mods else than tune for it, but anything above that does. I think first you need HPFP to run anything more than E20 when using more power than original, and when you get closer to full E85, i assume you need also LPFP
