Not a bad figure ..i display with the pig head on .. can't stand the normal face of this guy. And yeah the dogs articulation is a bit limited for sure. Good review 👍

The Punisher head is from Mazco, it fits but would need a bit of sticky tac or hot glue.

I think so! The biggest hurdle would be to find "Jason-type" clothing for a figure that big. He IS huge!

I’m considering buying this figure for a customized venom from Spider-Man 2, but my concern is what kind of head sculpt would fit with this guy from other brands such as Mezco, MAFEX, Sh Figuarts, ML, etc.
@allaboutarticulation
@allaboutarticulation 26 күн бұрын
It's a great figure! Heads that fit on the figure depend on the figure itself. Not all Mez, Mafex, etc., heads are the same size peg hole. Get yourself some sticky tac from Amazon (or hot glue gun) and a dremel to increase/decrease the peg holes!
@Unknown-b8d
@Unknown-b8d 17 күн бұрын
@@allaboutarticulationSo with the glue gun, fill the peg hole for the desired head sculpt, wait for it to dry, and then with the Dremel, drill the size I'm going for.
@allaboutarticulation
@allaboutarticulation 14 күн бұрын
Yes, or you may not even need to dremel it at all. Before it cools, stick the head onto the peg and let the glue mold to the peg's shape. Give that a try!

You can add ball joints on the hair to create more range for the head, the Spinmaster Aloy has 4 on her head and it works pretty well. It is also a much better articulated figure using usual Hasbro's articulation scheme.

The Punisher is 6’3” 230Ibs Spider-Man is 5’10” 167Ibs And Daredevil is 5’11” 185Ibs if The Punisher Figure is 6 inches Tall How Tall Would That Be in Real World Height?

@ I Think I’m Referring To 1/12 Scale.
@allaboutarticulation
@allaboutarticulation Ай бұрын
Oh ok! Well, true 1/12 scale would be "1 inch to 1 foot." So if the Punisher figure is 6 inches tall, in real world terms, that would be a 6 foot tall man. However, many companies now don't make "true 1/12 scale." I believe only SHF adheres to that measurement. They say 'history is written by the victors', and Marvel Legends, being the most popular and biggest in sales in action figures, uses more of a "6.5 inch scale," so most companies have moved that way just to keep up. Hope that helps!

Nice vid! Man this figure feels like it's almost exactly what Hasbro represents to me. Incrementally they'll eventually creep up on a well designed figure, but even at their best they still massively drop the ball in obvious ways. Your mod helps make their bad decisions have less impact, but they just constantly fail on ball joints where it matters. It's like it's on purpose. Like your mod looks insanely unhinged from the body, but that's entirely because of Hasbro's dumb idea of how neck articulation works.
@Whoopsie00
@Whoopsie00 2 ай бұрын
Also the hip range out to the side is completely artificially limited on almost every ML figure with a limited range. It's not even the sculpt colliding, it's literally that the cutout in the thigh doesn't go high enough. That's it. Boil it, pop it, Dremel the slot higher, you get 90° on almost every one. It's embarrassing tbh.

I buy pretty much all blank bodies because I love customizing soft goods figures. I bought this particular but I couldn't come up with an ideas. Then I came across an ebay seller with superhero costumes. Now I have a near perfect soft goods Thor using the costume and a used, 80 years Thor. Now If Hasbro ML would release a Doc Samson figure, I'd have another custom to make using this ADAM blank body.

But this costume was never a favorite of mine and I didn't "love" it enough to justify ~$28!

Sure thing! I'll try, but if you look at my Nota Toys review, I assemble my Bruce Lee (Game of Death in yellow). I basically just go to eBay and do a search for what I need. In your specific case, i would type: "1/12 Vtoys boots" and check out what's available. Also, don't hesitate to private message the seller and ask specific questions. GPSlot is a good seller (although there are many more). And check back often and frequently, because their stock is always changing! Good luck!

I just tried painting for the first time. It's not as easy as it sounds. Paint tends to chip off at the joints easily (where there is friction), even with good primer. Even just for the painting process, you'd have to break down the figure entirely to do so. So you'd have to keep track of parts too.

The double ball peg system works well, and if done right affords just as much range as a hinge up and down with the added benefit of tilt. The problem is that Hasbro cannot make a functional double ball peg to save their lives, consistently botching it's implementation.
