For parents like myself who cannot attend most of the concerts, it is always wonderful to “see” our boys. Thank you very much for sharing! I do understand that sometimes, due to copyright restrictions, recordings may not be posted.

@@renaong412 Here in Deutschland for example are some boychoirs sending copyright complaints to KZbin. That the parents do like such publications is irrelevant for the responsibles. . By the way: Of course the choirs can´t allow to film their concerts. A lot of filming people would be disturbing for the audience. Sitting in the first row I have my cam on my lap.

It´s always not so easy for boys choirs to perform that world-famous opus by Verdi. They are not adult choirs. Be sure that the boys here and their conductor tried to do their best. By the way: I had not asked for the agreement to film and upload that. I´m glad that the choir master tolerates my video...:)

Dear friend, I was filming the tv-screen. That was not the first time. In the meantime the results become better. By the way: The European Parlament probably (likely ?) has the intention to enact a new law that YT (for example) will have to liable (haften) for "violations of the copyright". So the future is open.

With 3 minutes I gave away a heartwarming applause. And all that at home lying on my bed with two hangovers at my feet. No person who sees me, let alone hear me. it was just worth giving an applause all in one, you can call something special. The shivers ran literally over my body when I heard this version of Holy Night Holy Night. while I thought it was going so badly with the choir as to the quality at least. Often too young and then all that rush appearances in Japan. Where is that quality that we are used to. Most new songs from 2018 to the present (now) are simply amazing and it is again worth listening to music more often than writing negative outbursts. Certainly after this sang many will follow again and there are quite a lot like I had heard. oa.new CD Hopefully 2019 will be a TOP YEAR for the boy in Vienna. Why do you ask ? The VBC has altogether 4 concert choirs: Brucknerchor, Haydnchor, Mozartchor and Schubertchor. That here is the Mozartchor...:)

@@Kruzifan Hi, thank you for your reply, i didn't know that the VBC has 4 concert choirs, so I've learnt something. The reason i asked was this the VBC is because about 20% of the Choir Boys are Asian, my Dad is Asian so i'm not complaining, i just want to know, are they Austrian citizens or did they attend a private school in Austria but their parents live in Asia?

@@MrHispanicpride Thank you for your question. Since some years the VBC is also in Asia searching for young talent. There the VBC has installed "bases". So the suitable boys are "captured" and then living in VIenna without their families. If they should wish that, the boys becoming older also can stay there in the boarding home (Augartenpalais) and finish their graduation (school education). en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palais_Augarten

The current Mozartchor is fantastic. My opinion: The boys obviously are also singing for their so likable conductor !

Liebe Buben des Mozartchors, auch ich finde es sehr traurig, dass Euer so sympathischer Kapellmeister Euch jetzt verlässt, um aus beruflichen Gründen nach Hamburg zu gehen. Bedenkt bitte, dass Ihr früher oder später aus dem Chor ausscheiden und eine eigene in der Regel ganz andere Zukunft haben werdet. In einigen Jahren wird Eure Mitwirkung in einem Chor der weltberühmten Wiener Sängerknaben noch eine tolle Erinnerung sein, die Euch Euer ganzes Leben lang bleibt. Auf Facebook gibt es einen Gruppenaccount Wiener Sängerknaben/Vienna Boys Choir (oldest fan account). Dort waren meine Filmaufnahmen immer wieder gern gesehen. Vielleicht habt Ihr ja eines Tages einen eigenen Acount auf FB. Ich würde mich freuen, wenn Ihr Euch dann mal dort meldet.
